Mock Offseason 1.0-post senior bowl

Free Agency

Offense (In-House)

-Pollard gets the franchise tag
-Zeke takes a major pay cut (hate it, but the Jones Family appears to want him back)
-McGovern, Shultz, Noah Brown all sign elsewhere
-Dak/Tyron both get their deals extended to create more cap space. Team will still be able to move on from both players, down the line.

-OBJ WR, Pocic G/C (former draft pick from Seattle), Irv Smith TE

Defense (In-House)

-Lve/Donovan Wilson, Hankins, Fowler, all receive extensions
-Anthony Brown/Barr are not resigned, Lewis gets released

-Patrick Peterson CB, A'Shawn Robinson DT

Mock Draft (Top 4 picks-PFF/Pro Football Network)

1-Joey Porter Jr CB Penn State/Michael Mayer TE Notre Dame
2-Zach Charbonnet RB UCLA/Jalen Hyatt Tenn
3-Hendon Hooker QB Tenn/Zach Charbonnet RB UCLA
4-Xavier Hutchinson WR Iowa State/DJ CB Turner Michigan

Have to say these mock simulators aren't too realistic at times.
Hooker is a hard pass for me. He's Brandon Weeden 2.0. 25, and still needs development. Too many young impactful players in the 3rd to do that.

It’s very early, they probably won’t draft a qb until day 3

QB is the most difficult position to draft and develop. Dak’s window on this team is closing. Great guy but he just may not be good enough. Hooker is definitely an intriguing prospect. I wouldn’t take him round 1, but if your scouts see a potential franchise QB, then pulling the trigger to get him in round 2 would be a terrific get. Obviously, you take a lot of crap if it doesn’t work out. And most times it doesn’t work. But this team needs to take a chance at some point and look past the Presott era.
