As much as i disagree with paying him any additional money. Some team would pay him, look at NO and the Giants who just gave out deals to similar QB's. I never understood why teams are so scared of just drafting another average guy. None of these dudes are anything special. Draft and develop like all other positions and yea it sucks if you miss but it's worse if you pay near max money to a guy only slightly better than the backup making 1 million.
