Absolute freak of an athlete. Sad he’s probably going to have to retire because of the toll this game has taken on him.

Jack Campbell was much better at the combine than I expected him to be. Honestly, I was interested in him somewhat because he’s such a good player with great instincts, size, leadership and intangibles. However, with him testing out as a much better athlete than expected, he is on my radar a little bit.

I love Iowa players because they’re so tough, smart, solid and reliable, so I liked him to begin with, but I now feel like he could be a real asset at MLB.

If the team were to manufacture a trade up into the early second to get him, I’d be all for it.

No, I agree. I’d be ok in the second though. Like I said, maybe a trade up from their second round pick.

This guy was the main player on the number 1 ranked defense in college football and he plays smart, physical football. He knows where the ball is going before it goes, and he’s a load when he arrives.

It is his zone coverage that surprises me though. That long, 6-5 246 pound frame he has covers a lot of ground and he manages very well to get in the way of a lot of passes.

But man is he a fundamentally sound, tough, smart player. He would be an immediate upgrade from LVE (IMO). I would trust him to run the defense, and frankly, I think they could cut loose LVE and use that money at another position in free agency.

Anyway, the more I watch him play, the more I like him in Quinn’s defense. He’s so football savvy and football smart, I’d feel real comfortable with him at MLB.
