Brandin Cooks "on radar"

Personally if I'm going to spend $16.5M on a WR next year it isn't Cooks and especially if I have to give up a pick to get him
$16M for a WR really isn’t that much these days…although I do also feel like I’d rather swing a little higher if I’m committing serious money to the position

Took a flier on him on my FFB team last year. I traded him for Fournette. No thanks.

I am not a fan for this. Just reads James Washington all over again. Not from a talent point of view, as we know Cooks' talent.

Just does not seem a good fit to me.

Hopkins
Lamb
Beckham
Cooks
Gallup
Hopkins comes with a 2023 base salary of $19.45M and would require is probably a 2nd round draft pick to trade for him. In addition, he has had a multitude of injuries in the last few years (15 games missed the last 2 seasons between injuries and suspension) not to mention a 6-game suspension for PED use.

I get wanting the 'named' WR to help the offense but is Hopkins really what he once was?

It’s the dumb stuff they do.

Want to trade? Get Hopkins. If you want to spend the $$$ sign Jakobi Meyers and he cost you no draft picks.

But yeah, let us spend premium picks on Brandin Cooks and take on his massive salary.

For the salary I trust Cooks over OBJ and Hopkins (extension) Hopkins was a top 5 receiver two years ago but the Cowboys are not paying 20+ million for any receiver with CeeDee’s contract coming up. The Cowboys are all in on OBJ though. They don’t want to give up those picks.

I agree. broaduss did mention to keep an eye on him yesterday as well.
My fear is, they will over pay draft capital. It is what they do.
Don't get enough in return for our players (Cooper) and give up too much for another teams player.
