Complain about paying Zeke and Pollard but want to trade for a guy in the down end of career and want to lay him lol
1) He's making the same as Pollard.
2) 1538 rushing yards, over 1900+ total yards from scrimmage. Went to the Pro Bowl and had 13 TDS and is in the down end of his RB career? Best RB and possibly top 5 offensive player in the league.
3) He has no one else on offense and teams know they have to give him the ball. Still dominates with Ryan Tannehill at QB and nobody at WR or TE.
4) 349 careers (second most of his career) 4.4 yards per attempt and averaging 96+ yards rushing a game.

Lol is right Loso. He's got 2 years left on his deal and that's exactly what we need him for by the time he turns 30. Zeke's shot and a shell of himself, that 49ers game prove it all. Pollard is healing from 2 injuries on the same leg only 2 months ago receiving the injuries and is a dynamic finesse runner. Who knows if his wheels will ever be the same?

I know what Derrick Henry's wheels look like right now. Top of the RB food train, looking HOFesque.

Waller numbers have dropped the last 2 years but his pay has not. I still think it is a good move for NY but not sure how good of a move. We will see
The contract structure is good for the Giants. If he has another down year, they can cut him next off-season with no dead cap money. Still $11.8 million this year is quite a bit for a guy who has had only 2 good seasons in his 8 year career.

I agree, I think it is a good move on their part but with some question marks on how it will play out for them.

Jalen Ramsey (3rd rounder, yes another pay day).
Darren Waller (4th rounder basically, going to get a payday).

Derrick Henry is out there. We want to keep Zeke and pay Pollard the same as Derrick Henry.
Deandre Hopkins is available also.

You get those 2 players ad get another starter in the draft and you're not the favorite in the NFC to go to the Superbowl?

You got them for 2 years in their primes still and then they're both off the books not affecting your cap.

What's the excuse?

Keep your 1st and get Jalen Carter. Yeah, he's got some issues which is why he'll slip but he's probably the best player in the draft.

Tell me how you get 3 players like that on this team and get you another starting CB and we're not stacked across the board? As talented as any team in the league on both sides of the ball.
The well known secret is that Jerry is really not trying to win a SB, he is just a lot more open about it then has been in the past.
This organization has never done for it other than 95 when they went and got Deion. He had two WR fumbles, Galloway & Roy Williams and Jerry realized that he needs to be good enough to be relevant. He cannot go 4-12 (13). He needs to be flexed to Sunday night, be all sizzle, Romo, Dak, Zeke, Tank, you name the controversy of someone being signed.

Why do you think Jerry loves Stephen A & Skip and Shannon. More hoopla, all sizzle. He makes his annual ESPN appearance, talks nonsense and does nothing.
They hardly spend any money, actual dollars spent is always in the bottom 4th of the league. He runs the golden jewel of the NFL like a mom and pop shop. I am sick and tired of it.
Just go for it one year, at least you can say you tried to win a SB.
The Rams went all out for 4 years and got to two SB's and won one. That actually means something. They went crazy traded all their pick's and I wouldnt even say do that but at least try.

Jerry is so scared to be out of the spotlight, the clear example is 2020, Dak got injured and he still tried to win 7 games. It was meaningless. Yes we got lucky to fall into Micha.
Imagine if it had happened in 2019 and we end up drafting Burrow in 2020. Jerry is afraid of a rebuild when actually he shouldnt be.
Teams do it all the time. The Eagles did it with moving on from Wentz. The Dolphins, Rams, Seahawks, the Niners even with Kyle have rebuilt the team, two SB appearances and he is 52-46, you would have thought he has a .700 winning % but he does not.

I will explain why Jerry will never change.
-He has already won in the NFL, 3 SB's HOF'r, Highest value franchise and revenue in the league.
-He has 27X on his reputation, in the spring of 1994 he said at the owners meeting that 500 coaches could take the Cowboys to the SB. He never hired a GM or a competent coach.
Imagine if tomorrow he hires a GM and Coach and within 3 years they win a SB, who will get the credit? Not Jerry.
The media will again kill him and ask why he wasted the past 27 years trying to be a football guy.
Do you all remember how much he was mocked by ESPN, all the media outlets when he fired Jimmy and all the terrible drafts from 94 to the early 2000's. The would always sarcastically Jerry the GM of the Cowboys.
Too much time has passed, the Cowboys are living on reputation alone, they still get hype and eyeballs but the emperor has no clothes.

Good pick up by the giants for only a 3rd rounder (after trading their WR). Btw we got a 5th rounder for coop who was a million times better than Kadarius Toney ever been. The giants got a 3rd and 6th rounder for Toney.

Hell of a pickup basically trading Toney for Waller and getting a 6th rounder. Yes he is 30 but if he can at least match his 2021 stats then it will be a worthy trade. Added a vet and a starter to the team.

Meanwhile Dallas Cowboys waiting on the 3rd wave of FA like

Damn, that's a great addition. Why weren't we in on this?

EDIT: nm, I saw his contract and age. Now I know why we weren't in on it.

He was very meh last season too. He had two monster years and has dealt with and overcome some addiction issues that almost sank his NFL career before it even began. I'm glad for the guy, but I would not have wanted to deal a 3rd to get him and his huge contract here. At that rate I just keep Schultz.

I think Waller has played 5 games in the last two years and maybe 12 in the last 3. Or something that ridiculous.

Talent wise good move. Seems like a bit of a head case though.

In 2021 he played 11 games and had around 650 yards and 2 TDs. He's making top TE money so for this to really work out for the Giants he realistically needs to have a year like he did in 2019 or 2020. If not this is most likely a 3rd round pick for a 1 year rental TE.

Maybe Waller has a resurgence in NY, but in reality he has been a disappointment the last two years with the Raiders.
