Do we need a possession receiver or one that's good at getting separation?

Dhop to me is more of a possession wide out, while PREVIOUS years obj to me is a guy that can get open easier. Which TYPE of wide out does this team need more???

Based on what we think we know about the new offense

We need a receiver who can get open quickly - short / intermediate and can do damage with the ball in his hands after the catch

You need both.

Dallas got rolling last year when Gallup got his game going in the playoffs last year, and he was playing more of a possession-style game last year. But you still need separation.

They need quick dudes who can turn separation into YAC. I’m tired of watching them obsess over inaccurate measurements like arm length. Unreliable numbers have no real predictive power.

I think a possession receiver running China route and middle stops above the MLB to draw the safeties downhill and leave more one on one opportunities on the outside.

It's a good question. New west coast offense will be about quick passes and getting yards after the catch. Strong route runners and receivers who can separate. Hopkins fits, but they will be more tight window throws, but has a huge catch radius. OBJ gets better separation, but is coming off of an acl injury, although 2 seasons ago.
