I agree. If I was to run a franchise I would become QB University. Drafting QB's at least every other year, developing them, trading them, ect....ect.....

I would never be held hostage having to pay 50 million to some guy because we have no one else. I would always make sure my Oline was top 3 in the NFL so that any QB I had looked good doing his job with protection and a nice run game.

"The D bailed him out" - seriously folks, shut the hell up. Of course a backup needs help from other players. The backups job should be to come in and not lose games. That's what Rush did. This is a good signing and if any of you actually watched other teams rather than sticking to ONLY Cowboys, you would see how abysmal backup QB play is around the league. 49ers are an exception.
