He had a good rookie season. And then the suspension happened, followed by his tremendous greed.

He won't be missed anywhere near as much as Dorsett or Emmitt were missed.
No one would have cared about his greed had he kept up with conditioning. He got paid and just let himself go. Losing your burst at 23 years old is still hard for me to believe.

It's not surprising or hard to believe if you look at his touches. 350+ touches in 3 of his first 4 years. Fantasy football players have a rule against drafting a guy coming off 370+ touches in a season and it's pretty much failproof. Zeke carried this offense for his first few years and cashed in knowing his body was not going to make it to a big payday if he didn't hold out. I would have done the same thing, so I don't hate him for that. All that said, it was time to move on.

I should have known this would bring out negative comments....oh well.
I didn't mean for my comment to sound like Zeke bashing, I've always liked him. It's just that there is a visible difference in his game from several years ago to today, which is expected after the heavy workload he's had for all these years.

Zeke sacrificed his body for so long and now his tank is almost on empty.

Hard to get mad at a guy for running him until the wheels come off. I'm not going to blame my Corolla when I hit 300k miles.

No worries....it's just hard to tell nowadays. Didn't mean to jump to conclusions. My bad.

I've watched that game so many times! Classic Zeke performance. It's on my TV hard drive but if was VHS, the tape would be well worn out.

Generally speaking, I never criticize players for trying to get their money. Football is a brutal sport. My son still has aches and pains from playing football all the way through college. And probably will have these pains the rest of his life.

I've interviewed former NFL offensive and defensive linemen who can barely walk their knees are so shot.

So if you can get your money, get your money. That goes for Zeke, Dak, AND Lamar. Not that I think Lamar's going to get a guaranteed contract, but I ain't mad at him for asking.
