I'm not a "tattoo guy"... but leg tats are the worst.

...but I do embrace freedom... Not my leg. Do what you want.

People can do whatever they want to their bodies. My issue is if you need major surgery done to your fully tatted limb, how will your doctor/surgeon find your veins...... or won't your tat look way off if you ever have a major cut made on your limb and heals off afterwards? Plus, as others mentioned, I don't believe it will look so good once you get old and wrinkly. Just my 2 cents.

Its always the people without tattoos that are the first to judge. Not realizing its not 1920 and tats aren't done with pen ink anymore. The ink they use now lasts a lifetime, doesn't fade or stretch. Its always the people with 0 clue who are the first to speak. Its comical.
Why do you get tattoo's and how do they make you look "better" ?

I think folks don't really understand tattoo and tattoo culture. Each one represents something about you in that moment. Like a scrapbook on your body. It just represents who and what you were at that moment in your life or the feelings you had then. If you're the type to be embarrassed of old photographs of yourself, you're probably not someone for tattoos. Tattoos are a form of self love and remembrance. Most folks with tattoos don't really care what you think of them because you don't get a tattoo for what other people think of them. They're for you and your body first.

I am not a tattoo person. Just not my thing. Personally I do not pay much attention to them on men unless they are facial/neck things or really large ones. And as for as the ladies go I prefer the smooth clean skin look. Tattoos on women kind of ruin the look of their skin IMO. I even refer to bad looking tats on women as man made warts.

100% this!

Even in today's culture it's not really understood but getting better. Ihave worked for Federal Agencies were i have had to cover up and i was ok with that. My current agency allows me to be me which is great, but always cover up for court as a manner of respect to the process.

From personal experience wounds inflicted to areas of tattoo coverage will be visibly distorted after surgery, the degree depending on the wound of course. As for the finding of a vein, most nurses are able to feel for the vein or at times can see the visual difference even with a heavily tatted area.
