Why hasn't Zeke been picked up yet?

Because TBs are interchangeable in this league. You'll see a few teams grab a TB early to just give depth and the market cools.

Teams just don't value TBs like other positions. Because you can win with middling TBs.

Yet some here want to use another first round pick on a TB. LOL.

I would be interested to see how another team may use him, as opposed to constantly being ran between the tackles.

What we've seen from this type of running back in recent years is that they wait until after the draft, and potentially even after the first few rounds of offseason camp, to see what injuries may occur and what depth charts actually look like. I wouldn't expect to see something on the Zeke front for at least a few months, if not all the way until July.

And what would that reason be, exactly?
He's not a needle mover at this point in his career. His upside is limited now after wear and tear and usage over the years.

When you couple that with his cap hit, that's why he got cut. He just wasn't viewed as an essential running back for us anymore.

And that's how he's viewed in the NFL right now. He's a guy you can sit on and probably bring in later post draft or even before the season or during camp. He has no real upside at this point, he is what he is.

Contrast that with a guy like Penny, the Eagles signed. Dude is always hurt. Like he literally has only played in half the games he's been in the league. But he has real upside as his skills are just better than Elliott's at this point. The reality is that in a league were TBs are interchangeable, the guys who sign early are either truly high level guys or guys that have real potential that are worth a flier on. Guys like Elliott just sit out there because they offer no significant upside where you have to run out and grab them.

Going to get a barrage of hate for saying this, but let's say the market for Zeke isn't there. Which is likely.

Would having him back at the veteran's minimum just to serve a minimal role hurt? Maybe use him in goal line or short yardage situations?

..you think, he would be snagged by now. To early? Or am I missing something?
just shows how fooled the cowboys were with zeke . an expensive mistake that will linger for a while.
the irony is that when zeke was good in his first 2 years, it helped a mediocre Dak look good behind that OL and zeke. Dak got the big contracts and the OL is now in rebuild , and dak is exposed as a very average grossly overpaid QB. a vicious cycle for the team .

most will wait until after the draft for other needs. eckler upset and wants out zero takers, same with titans trying to move Henry, no takers..is Fournette still out there.. if this was attempt to further hate on zeke after hes gone SHAME and fail..

many Rbs still out on the market but this draft with a lot of great college backs coming out, might be bad time to be looking for RB job.. theres quite few.

bet he get on before the season after the draft .why the rush most moves for players like zeke and many other NFL rbs will be closer to the season. back dont need much time to acclimate and older ones typically dont pay in preseason or do much in camp anyway,

Retirement might be a good option for him with the money he has made. I don't think that it is worth it for him to play. The risk reward doesn't add up for him.
