There is a lot of thinking before playing on Defense right now. This should improve as year goes on.

CP runs a variation of a scheme that's been around awhile and while the players are getting used to it, opposinteams already know how to attack it.

I am thinking as well. I keep thinking why cant he get off blocks and make a play.

Hes playing a different “position” in this scheme.

I remember CP talking about it in his presser. He needs to be in a 4-3

That was one thing I was alarmed about. Don't know if I'm right with the facts on this, but I thought he did play a 3-4 in his disgruntled Jets years, and was looking forward to a 4-3? I still think he'll be fine. One thing I've learned very quickly with hidden positions like the lines is never ever trust anything from the fan boards. LOL. Same boards were telling me Mazi was a star in development.

I keyed on him quite a bit. Man his effort was terrible. Playing like he is in quicksand. Also he is firing off and staying way too high. If he tries to win at all it's with strength. I was hoping he and Clark could generate a consistent pass rush inside. First 2 games they have done nothing. Very disappointed in him.

Anyone else see this?

He was good 2nd half of last year, the new position inside 3-4 doesn't look like it's working right now
