NFL Rueters 7 round Mock

Dallas picks

1-26 TRENTON SIMPSON , LB, Clemson
Simpson excels in attacking plays from off the ball but also flashes the closing speed to chase quarterbacks, spelling Micah Parsons in that role if needed.

2-58 JOSH DOWNS, WR, North Carolina

3-90 ISRAEL ABANIKANDA, RB, Pittsburgh

4-129 JOSH WHYLE, TE, Cincinnati

5-169 JALEN REDMOND, DT, Oklahoma

6-212 CHAD RYLAND, K, Maryland

7-244 RYAN HAYES, OT, Michigan

By no means am I a die-hard draftnik or daily mock drafter; but the dozen or so times I reviewed mocks, I don't recall seeing any of these players go to the Cowboys.

I think I can speak for the board when I say this is outstanding.

On to UDFA.

I like Simpson and Downs but more as 2nd rounders. If we traded down and added a 3rd this would be good.

If there's one small receiver who plays bigger than his size in this draft it's Downs. Tough kid for 170lbs.

Main issues, is Downs is a slot guy. You’re about to pay big $$ and Lamb is elite from the slot.

Yeah buddy! Spend a first round pick on a guy to backup Micah! Let’s get it
Apparently the LB Sanders is in the mix with McDonald on D, along with Slater's reported top 3 offensive targets Robison, Wright and Mayer. There may have been one more. I think I heard this from Bobby Belt on DC.com.....
