This was a great investment where we drafted him. No medical flags, 0 character flags and a shiet ton of starts at a big program. Coached very well by Mac Brown. I luv this pick. In time, he may be like Jeremy Parnell was or better. He has the flex to be a center/guard. His own words. This was a no brainer.

Seems to have decent game film based on the scouting reports, but when you look at his Senior Bowl one on ones, he gets pushed around a little. Maybe even a lot.

Classic mid round pick who needs to get stronger once he gets into an NFL program.

Guys like this that have any type of injury setback in their rookie camp have virtually no shot. Seen it way too many times.

hes Jeremy parnell. Thats fine. He was in the league a long time. He was in the league 10 years and won a SB with the Saints in 09. He was a starting RT/LT/Swing tackle and a practice squader at first. It took him 3 years or so before he was good enough to start. I think Asim can be that but even better. He has much more position flex.

wouldn't surprise me if he gets "injured" during the training camp or pre season and is red shirted his rookie year to save a roster spot and have him spend a year working on his strength and conditioning.

Aww Somebodies diaper is full.
Nah, just sick of guys like u who backs every pick like it's gold. the guy did 13 reps on the bench, thats what the weakest corners and wide outs do yet u think he's kicking inside to guard to deal with the big boys. lol!

I do not ...... during the season Rockport and the fan fest call me a hater ...... and Mountainboy and the hate squad call me a homer.

You seem to be a pissed off child ....... and I could care less the reasons or your viewpoint.

So continue to be pissed off ....... or just piss off.

A Zack Martin level talent won't be available in the 5th round.

Players can get stronger.

He has long arms and quick feet.

I liked him before the Cowboys picked him. He held up to the power of some big DTs at the Senior Bowl quite well.

Because you would be tipping the play everytime he was on the field. You ideally want at least one TE who can block and catch well so you can both run and pass from multiple formations without having to substitute a different player in. This is especially important for the hurry up offense where the defense gets to match up if you change players.
I'm sorta being facetious. There have been some pretty good basketball to TE converts though.

Read somewhere that his first time in a weight room was at NC. Think he has potential in 2024 but probably doesn’t have the strength to offer much this year.
Yep. Needs a year learning the pro game and getting stronger. The interview I heard the Cowboys think he can start in 2024 if needed.

Yeah because that is exactly what the Dallas Cowboys coaches said. It isn't something that was made up in here. Zrin didn't just pull something out of thin air.

Wouldn't surprise me at all. It's basically an open competition between Edoga, Farniok, J. Ball, and Richards for the interior depth spots.

Watched him vs ND and Clemson.

Solid overall but got pushed around a bit by Foskey and Murphy. Def has the tools to turn into a starter just don’t think it’ll be year 1.

This guy does not anchor well in these drills. I'd be surprised if he see the field this year.

37 starts at LT, 1 at LG

I noticed him in the Senior Bowl 1-on-1s.
- Quick Feet. Long Arms. Big Hands.
- He held up to the power of Keanu Benton and Jerrod Clark.
- He did whiff on 1 rep vs Benton.

Yep. If he were to look at how Richard plays rather than workout sheet, he'd see that plays with his lower half and uses pretty solid technique. Yes, his 225-bench press is very low. But part of the reason is that his arms are so long. He has a wingspan of 6'10'' -11'' inches. Those guys with long arms will typically do less on bench reps.

Overall athleticism for Richards, outside of the bench press thing, was top 8 in his class. He relies on his lower body strength, and can work on the upper body strength.
