IMO, Cropper is a better prospect right now than Jalen Tolbert was in 2022. He's been playing much longer. If you listen to his interviews, Cropper says he's been dreaming of being an NFL player since he was 6. Tolbert didn't start playing football until he was a Jr. in HS.

Cropper has similar production at a higher level of competition and if you look at his body of work, he's just more NFL ready and has more NFL potential tracking the ball and moving around the line.

I have no idea how he didn't get drafted but I suspect his overall size is to blame. I can't wait to see him take the field. Cropper was my number one pet cat this year and we somehow landed him.

I still like Tolbert; just dont think his position is safe. I think it's even likely Cropper moves him down the depth chart or onto the PS.

Looking forward to seeing Jalen, Jalen and Jalen battle it out!

Nnamdi Asomugha?
Try again. I'll give you a hit. We drafted him this year.

Just because one dreams of playing in the NFL longer than one played any football at all does not make him a better prospect.

We will see in TC how they compete.
True, but when you've been playing for a decade longer that experience tends to give you an edge.

I gotta give it to you, though. At least you weren't like, "who?" ;)

Not even a little bit. He didn't play against a higher level of competition and he doesn't really have an NFL body.

Basically, you hope he becomes Cole Beasley.

No, I hope he becomes Stephon Diggs. Long shot, sure. But I suspect we got ourselves a player. If I were making draft decisions, I would have drafted him late. Anywhere from 5-7.

I’m still hoping for Fehoko. I really liked Gallup, but who knows now. Tolbert didn’t show anything last year so I’m hoping he steps up. I’m thinking it’s going to all be on Lamb, Cooks, theTEs, and Deuce. Cooks and Deuce are new so it’s probably all on Lamb. Then I’m pulling for Gallup and Fehoko otherwise I just don’t see it.

No. Not really close. One was a 3rd round prospect in a draft filled with good WR's and the other was a UDFA in a draft lacking in good WR's.
True. There is a reason that Tolbert was taken in the third. It's because he's the better prospect. Will he be the better player? That's a different question. But just getting drafted means you are the better prospect than an undrafted player.

I honestly think you're wrong. Only time can tell who the better prospect is. This isn't a told you so thread or whatever and it's a matter of opinion. But the only way to tell who the better prospect is to give it time. I personally think he's a better NFL prospect, but that doesn't mean I couldn't be wrong.

I give Durden a better shot at maybe making a breakthrough onto the team. Disappointed on Tolbert so far. He needs to get his crap together this camp and show why Jerry picked him in the third.

Yall expecting a 3rd round wr to be incredible in one season are out of your minds...he needs time to develop and it will likely be year 3 when he really comes into his own....can't give up on a player bc he struggled his rookie year

Fehoko is going to have to be great on special teams or he’s done.

He’s about as jaggy as it gets.

It still bothers me that an undrafted, far less regarded rookie like Dennis Houston, was supposedly way ahead of fellow rookie and much more regarded prospect and 3rd rounder
Jalen Tolbert.

Maybe this is an example of some players just having a quicker, faster learning process and better knack and more savvy for the game than others, regardless of
draft position status.

Some of Tolbert's problems could be contributed to just some rookie-ness, but I am hoping that this summer, this regular season if he makes the team, that he also
plays the game with some authority, some grittiness instead of the timid, tentativeness he seem to display in the preseason games. Tip-toeing into cuts-breaks and
ducking the contact. ...

Kind of confused Tolbert was a legit prospect. Moreno wasn’t drafted. How is he a better prospect?

The Dennis Houston thing to me was used as a reality check for Houston. Did he ever get reps after the first few weeks?
