I love the offseason. Every veteran is the healthiest they have ever been and every rookie contract player looks better than ever and ready to take a leap.

I don't think it was a medical issue. It was simply that he was coming back from a serious injury to his lower body. That affects you in a lot of ways. The previous year, Dak both strained his throwing shoulder and his right calf coming off his broken ankle. Neither of them was caused directly by his ankle injury but indirectly were the result of it. Flexibility, trust, etc., have to be reestablished after a serious injury and sometimes it just takes time. There are some players like Terrell Owens who could seemingly hop in a hyperbaric chamber after a devastating injury and return the next day ready to play and there are some who just need more time to get there even when the injury is fully healed.
Could of definitely been some mental aspects. Hopefully he comes back and looks like his old self this year.

What is his old self though? Do we know what Gallup is? I feel like I should but I don’t.
He's just a guy who can beat man coverage in contested catch situations. He's not a technician or a burner, so he's never going to be open, but he's pretty good at the catch point.

Problem is that guys like that have a shelf life, and can be very streaky. He'll get way more opportunities in 1-1 coverage down the field this year than last year though.

A healthy Michael Gallup with the addition of Brandon Cooks will go a long way in boosting wide receiver production.
Problem is our genius FO banked on him being 100 percent last year. Our FO is delusional when it comes to their own players sometimes.

Yeah the national media is pumping the Ravens offense up with OBJ, Flowers, and Bateman. I think our trio is miles better and Dak is a better passer then Lamar.
If they need a plane emptied lol OBJ is the guy for that, he is all pro at emptying planes.

Well there's just a difference between being healthy enough to play and being fully strong and confident on the strength of the knee. It doesn't mean the medical staff was wrong to clear him or anything.
it isnt just healthy, it is mental, and getting into the groove of playing again.
That is why they shouldnt have signed him to the deal they did, as they have to wait a year or more for him to be fully back,
and maybe he never gets back to where he was. Many players dont get back fully.

Yeah. Like 60 grabs and 900-1000 yards
I'll take that !!!!! Let's see .
Gallup 1000 Lamb 1400, Cooks 1200 That's 3600 yards of offense right there
JAG'S 400 yards of offense that's 4000 yards of offense
TE Room lets say 500 that's 4500 Another 500 from backs and Misc. THAT'S 5000 YARDS OF OFFENSE
That's just speculation but you see where it could be an explosive Year for our passing game

He can do that but he also knows how to stem routes too. That was his big problem last year, his plant leg when turning left was suspect so he rounded those cuts badly. You're supposed to be lateral or coming back to the QB and he was way upfield.

He can body the post and in but he did get separation on outs and fades too when healthy. He is a quality well rounded receiver.

I’m a Gallup fan but it’s been a few years now. He’s lived off of that 1k season for awhile now. I think when we talk about him we reference that season but if you see his whole body of work he’s produced like a number 3. I don’t know what Gallup is. He shows flashes of brilliance at times. Sometimes he shows he’s unfocused or not able to get separation.
He’s never been a separation guy…he makes great catches but it’s because he doesn’t get open a lot. I like him, but you can’t expect him to be a great #2, injury or not, defenses will never have to account for him with more than one defender. He can be a phenom #3 but you need two guys ahead of him who can consistently get separation and frustrate defenses if we are going to be a legit contender.
