Sam was really getting better as the season went along. I think his auto accident derailed it. He probably had a few minor nagging injuries along with a worse concussion than was mentioned.
The team just did not want to say so to the media.

I expect a big leap for the better this season.

It’s pretty common for rookie receivers to struggle or not do much and then develop into good players. It’s a really tough transition to the NFL
