The fact that he *can* play so many positions and fulfill so many roles is a huge weapon for the defense.

Modern football is all about personnel package matchups being manipulated by formations and motion to get favorable individual matchups. Swiss Army Knife players can negate those maneuvers by filling in for whatever is missing.

This is actually true when you think about.........how many times we see teams with a player among the top 5 sack leaders miss the playoffs or have a losing record? He's seeking dominance like LT or the late Reggie White, defensive players who can take over game.
