Here are some worthless power rankings. They mean nothing except for something to discuss. Enjoy!

Sporting News:
1. Kansas City Chiefs (previous 2023 ranking: 1), 2. Philadelphia Eagles (2), 3. San Francisco 49ers (5), 4. Cincinnati Bengals (3), 5. Buffalo Bills (4), 6. New York Jets (7), 7. Detroit Lions (6), 8. Jacksonville Jaguars (10)

9. Dallas Cowboys (8)

The Cowboys have gone through some offensive lumps as Mike McCarthy and Brian Schottenheimer have taken charge. But despite the viral Dak Prescott passing mistakes in camp, featuring Tony Pollard and adding Brandin Cooks have been key, testing and bringing out even better play out of the defense.

10. Baltimore Ravens (14)

PFF:
1. KANSAS CITY CHIEFS, 2. PHILADELPHIA EAGLES, 3. SAN FRANCISCO 49ERS, 4. CINCINNATI BENGALS, 5. BUFFALO BILLS, 6. NEW YORK JETS, 7. DALLAS COWBOYS, 8. LOS ANGELES CHARGERS, 9. CLEVELAND BROWNS, 10. BALTIMORE RAVENS

Is it possible Micah Parsons has another level to reach as a defender? With seemingly each passing day, there’s mention of Parsons doing something ridiculous in Cowboys camp, and it begs the question of whether the first-team All-Pro linebacker can add more layers to his game. Head coach Mike McCarthy even scolded Parsons for violating the camp moratorium on hitting quarterbacks, and not just camp arms -- we’re talking Dak Prescott, too. Parsons has reached the 13-sack threshold in both of his NFL seasons, so the bar is high. But it just feels like we’re about to witness an Aaron Donald-like impact from Parsons in 2023, even if he hasn’t been too far off from that already.

7. Baltimore, 8. NY Jets, 9. Miami, 10. Jacksonville

There are more of course. But the general consensus is the Dallas Cowboys are a top 10 team heading into pre-season.

The pecking order in the NFC is Phily, San Fran then Dallas consistently.
That’s a fair pecking order especially if Dak plays like he did last year. But listing Lions and Jags in front of them is laughable.

All I know is that KC is the team to beat and the beagles will PROBABLY win NFCE, because Hurts is significantly better than Prescott.
After that who knows?

I don’t think hurts is better than Dak at all. I think he was surrounded by a stacked roster and asked to do much less with a coaching staff who catered and masked his inabilities. The season prior people were openly questioning whether or not he was a viable long term starter because he couldn’t see the field well and frankly never has back to college.
I think he comes back to earth this year.
I’m not sold that SF doesn’t take a step back.
Right now all these rankings are nothing but a holdover from the finish of last season. The year will take on a life of its own. There will be major injuries and dark horses. We should def be better but we will see

Yeah, that is laughable. And I suppose they put the Jets in front of the Cowboys just because they now have A. Rodgers. Call me crazy, but I don't think Rodgers is going to make that much of a difference there. I guess we'll see......

well I'm glad you prefaced it with the word worthless, because it is if anybody thinks the lions or even The Jets at this point and I even have to add the Jacksonville Jaguars Being better than us, is just that, a bunch of guessing.

Let me just say I hate power rankings or any rankings of any kind before a season starts all ranking should be after the season or if you want to do a mid-season ranking, I can live with that after the first eight or nine games you want to see who's doing well and who's doing terrible, that's fine but anything in the preseason before games are played it's like the NCAA teams being ranked, it's dumb just absolutely dumb..

So EVERYONE "takes a step back" but us.

Hmmmmmm, how convenient.

No Homers here!
