Cowboys need a tough running RB

...Who can run tough between the Tackles, pick up short 2nd, 3rd or 4th & 1s, make tacklers miss while picking up extra yards, catch a quick dump off pass for positive yards and be able to punch it in inside the 5 yard line for a TD.

Cowboys need someone like Zeke.

Rico, Deuce, and Pollard are fine.

Please stop telling people how to think.

You do you, and let others do themselves.

For the record, so far, Deuce is starting to prove you wrong. He's done it his whole life, and he's most likely to keep proving his doubters wrong once again.
I see, so someone offers an opinion and your emotions get so bruised you have to cry in response? You take posts so personally as if people were questioning you.
Oh, and 1 preseason game is proving me wrong as if I said Vaughn will fail? Try reading what I wrote again but then again you will always 'do you'.

"Please stop telling people how to think. You do you, and let others do themselves." Funny how you tell me yo stop telling people how to think and in the very next sentence you are telling me how to think. Foolish.

Pollard's never been a high volume guy. And the way he gets dinged up, you don't want to use him as a high volume guy.

If Brian Schottenheimer really wants to rush on 50% of our plays, we really need a good RB2 to take about 100 carries off Pollard. RBs have never been cheaper to find, in terms of FA deals and draft capital, so why we didn't add anyone beside Deuce is mystifying.
We did add someone. It's Ronald Jones. I suspect they know what they have there, and it's still possible he may be back after his suspension.

The problem with Deuce is the QB can't see him when he's running a shallow crossing route. You are limiting yourself with passing options as an OC when he's in the game.
Be careful expressing your opinion as you will be accused of telling people how to think. lol

You seem to have a negative view all of the time. If there is ever been a time to be positive on the Cowboys it is now.

Overshown smacked the heck out of him on a 3rd and short and put him down at the LOS.

Dude couldn’t truck a S/LB hybrid, not very Barber-like.

I know it’s just one play lol just chattin
I think people underestimate D.O.'s size and strength. The dude is 6'3'' and listed at 220. But I'd venture to say he looks heavier than that.

5’10, 216
5’9 209

Height and weight of running back from the Super Bowl Champs last season
True but you are talking about a height difference of between 4"-5" and a weight difference of between 30-45 pounds. Vaughn showed well so far so let's see how future opportunities will result as time will tell.

So tempering expectations of a 5th-round rookie rb on the obvious small side is a negative view? Okie dokie then.

At the combine, he measured in at 6' 3" and 229 pounds; would not be surprised if he added a few pounds so he could be in the 235-pound range which, for a guy running the 40 in 4.56 and coming downhill, could be a train wreck every week.

With the exception of the fumble, I thought Rico displayed enough to ease my concerns at the RB position. Along with Duece' s performance.

If that was true he'd not have been super productive @KState as receiver, which he was. He was used in flats and downfield.

Deuce is a 6th round rookie, not 5th. You didn't just say how you felt about Deuce because of his height, you also told others how to think because of Deuce's height. That was the difference and not a good thing. Let people believe how they choose. Like I said before, so far, Deuce is proving his height doubters wrong. That's a good thing.

Agreed, Deuce for our new Felix, Pollard for our new Choice, now we need a new Barber.

Not going to get into a peeing contest.

Like some, the running back position is a concern until we see if Pollard can repeat last year's production coming off a bad injury and the depth behind him being a guy suspended and who seemed to lose production (Jones) and a few guys like Dowdle and Davis. While Vaughn did show well in the game vs. JAX, I would like to see how he performs going against defensive starters.
I am interested to see how the running back group performs in the next game as Davis, once thought of as the #2, did not show up well against JAX whereas Dowdle and Vaughn did....so will their performance continue to improve?

Many of us have been doing the "this is the season" hope ride for the past 27 seasons only to be met with disappointment. While excited to see how the young talent does on both sides of the ball, I am simply saying let's see how things progress.

Dowdle is being listed between 5'11-6' and 215-218 pounds.....similar to what Barber was listed at...but not sure what Dowdle's true weight is right now
