Cowboys EVP Stephen Jones: "I think this is as deep a team as we've ever had. There's no question it's going to be the hardest 53 cut that we've had in years and years."

Is there a greater chance than usual of possibly trading a player before roster cuts?

Jones: "I don't think so. I think we've got the answers on this team." He added that they have safeties that can help at linebacker. "We have some safeties that can do a lot of things that (injured LB DeMarvion Overshown) can do."
 
The depth is what makes this team special!

It will be sad to watch it slowly disappear as massive contracts are handed out to the star players.

Why does he have to say anything? Depth? Perhaps he hasn’t seen the OL or RB room.

JJ probably out drinking and tells his son to announce how good of a team they put together. Poor MM just does not get any credit.
 
You can cut and paste his answer to this question every year.

I vividly remember the summer of 08 when ol steve went around telling everyone in the media how loaded they were...then they couldn't find any trade partners.....then Romo was injured missed 3 games losing 2 of them and the heavily loaded roster couldn't handle it and ended up missing the playoffs.
 
If they are hard cuts that means you are going to release someone that could net you a pick. Cap boy is clueless as usual.

Take it with a grain of salt. He’s only comparing recent teams.

Stephen was a mail boy in the 90’s. Jerry wouldn’t let him in the owner’s box yet.
 
If Stevie said it, then it must be true. I mean how could we doubt him.
