Whats it going to take to beat the 49ers?

  • Good blocking on the line, gap discipline keep the LBs clean
  • DBs in position and have to tackle well-limit RAC, make Purdy hold the ball so the pass-rush can get there

  • Dak needs to get the ball out quick.
  • Wouldn't mind some QB keepers on the RPO look--its been there all season
  • If running game is getting stuffed, need the quick short passes to supplement
  • Take some shots to move the safeties back

When the 9ers throw a punch, Dak can’t get the deer in the headlights look. Our defense has to force a couple turnovers. We’ll have to FG them into submission.

To beat the niners it's going to take a confidence makeover first and foremost in my opinion. This will not be a game where we can afford to witness Dak's deer in the headlights gaze. Make no mistake about it, the niners believe they will beat us, we don't scare them, they will be loose and we will be tight. On paper, the niners have the overall better team and record so it's going to have to start with our boys being prepared and confident.

I believe that this teams suffers from Jerry Jones and his country club awe shucks involvement. Big Mike whom I do really like as coach is not the best motivator, he just really doesn't set the tone in a way that is helpful from an emotional standpoint. Dak will be dak and like clockwork he will most likely at some point slip into his mental depressed state if and when things aren't going to plan.

1. We need confident and stable Dak
2. Red zone production
3. Ball control
4. Toughness

We're going to punch the 800 pound gorilla in the mouth!

COWBOYS 26 49ERS 16

And cry babies here will whine about kicking 4 FG's in a huge win.

So basically,
The defense can play like they did in last year's playoff game which shut down their run game entirely.

And the offense...
Well...

Yeah.

Make Purdy beat you and keep constant pressure on him. He’ll eventually make mistakes.
When exactly has Purdy made mistakes? He has won 13 regular season games in a row. Only game he lost was the Eagles game he got knocked out in the first quarter in the playoffs.

He was 21 of 22 for 13.5 yards per attempt today. I think he knows how to throw.
Someone laughed when I said he's an MVP candidate but he will be, however CMC might take votes away from him.

I mean no he doesn't throw for 4 TDs a game if that's the only criteria then he won't be in the running, but his TD to INT ratio is 5-0 right now.

People here brag that Dak is 9th in QBR, well Purdy is #1.

Something I want to see addressed……Dak can’t take those sacks when nothing is there. Throw the ball away instead of trying to scramble away.
