"Will Week 3's head-scratching loss at Arizona end up being an aberration? One bounce-back win doesn't prove anything, but Dallas thoroughly demolished Bill Belichick and the Patriots in all phases. Even when the Cowboys slightly let their foot off the gas, they were head-and-shoulders better. That’s reassuring. DaRon Bland’s pick-six was such an important play in the game (after he missed a chance at one earlier) because it effectively ended the Patriots’ chances before halftime and sent a message that this defense can indeed soldier on without Trevon Diggs. Plus, even with some OL breakdowns, the offense proved to be efficient and occasionally dangerous against a good Pats defense."

We climb up to #5 after falling two spots the previous week.

At this point we need to beat the top teams to earn respect and climb up.

Not a bad list.

Just getting to the playoffs doesn't cut it for me anymore. Sick of one and done seasons...
Well then you will be happy to know we were two and done last year.

We all want the next SB, but I agree these 12 win playoff seasons are just soo taxing!

I dont know, should we blow it all up start and from scratch?

We have a drought for so long that people have a right to feel unhappy for not going deep into the playoffs.
Expectations change with the quality of the team.

Any Cowboys fan should be happy that we finally have a legit contender. Specifically considering the drought. Especially for a guy that predicts 7 to 8 wins every year.

mr CRoy---- i dont know what ever recipe Dan Quinn has right now with his defense...if we could replicate 75% of that for offense we would be #1

i know many will disagree but when we had Cooper Dak had his best games....yes there were times Cooper was missing....but he was reason we

went from 3-5 to 10-6 in 2018 and beat Seahawks first round....his route running and speed forced double teams.... and his last year..... we almost had

3 receivers over 1000..CeeDee had 900 but Coop over 1000 and Gallup over 1100....i wish we could have kept Cooper...these stupid Covid arguments

My opinion we have to religate Tyron to back-up OT put Tyler LT and either Edoga, Bass, or Asim LG....and our TE's not allowed any more drops...no way

do i think we should blow it up and start over....i cannot explain why we laid horrible egg against Cards other than not concentrating...but other 3 beatdowns

i think its time Purdy lay an egg and no better time then Sunday night at Santa Clara

Definitely not in agreement on the Cooper thing. But that is an old argument.

We lost to the Cards was simple. The defense completely took the day off and wasnt ready to play.

The offense was missing 3 pro bowlers on the line and to make matters worse cowboys werent prepared as it was late in the week these injuries happened.

Cards played really well also. Not the doormat everyone thought they were.

As far as Tyron, I couldnt agree more. That was my suggestion all offseason. To think of him as the swing tackle and get a legit starting guard in here preferably the draft. Had a shot at Torrence in the second round and they blew it.

You don't blow things up, especially when you have this amount of talent. But taxing it is. I'm sure people had high expectations in 2007 and then again in 2016, but in the end the best run we had was in 2014. I mean in 2016, many of us saw Dak and Zeke and were thinking we would be leading the league for many years to come.

To me you win championships by having a contending type team over the course of 4 or 5 years. Not one of these go for it all one year fans. Too many risks and injuries and uncertainty in football.

Personally I think Jones blew it when he neglected to get that stud guard in either the draft or FA and bet on Tyron again to say healthy.

Exactly....that's why I could care less who is the number one team each week. The real season starts when the playoffs start. I could care less if Dallas is the number one team week 8, 9 and 10 during the regular season if we go one and done in the playoffs.

I found 2 power rankings that had us AHEAD of the eagles. They were not the major ones but still, people are taking notice.

Who cares, as long as we make the playoffs at the end of the season I could care less who they crown the weekly champions
me. I enjoy weekly rankings, and digesting them and arguing them lol. it's silly but hey, we are part of childs game cult.

This means absolutely zero, zilch, nada.

This isn't the BCS.
