Jerry Jones talks about WR CeeDee Lamb’s contract situation

Lamb is the only receiver we have who shows up every game and would start on every other team. For Philly, he might be #3 instead of #2, hard to say, but he’s 1 or 2 on just about every team. Not only do you have to pay him, you also need to find another great receiver. One isn’t enough anymore.

There is no incentive for CD.
What do you mean? There is no incentive for CD to land a 100 million dollar contract and make his great great grandson rich? You cant get more incentivized than that! Especially with all the injuries going around.

I like Lamb as a receiver but, like, what is he actually exceptional at? Is he a $28-30 million a year player, or will that end up looking like a mistake in three years?
Cant pay him that kind of money. He simply isnt in that elite class and you cant pay recievers like that in my opinion.

For that kind of money you could afford a pro bowl guard and a very good receiver. Or just go draft another one.

Not hard to say at all actually. CD would be a #1 or #2 in Philly.

Because he's going to get that same $100m whether he signs now or after 2024. The difference is that he could get way more if the market moves and as the cap increases by waiting. He'd be lowballing himself by signing now.

His peers voting him so high on the top 100 sealed the deal. Not sure if he's just a good dude or something, but I have yet to see anything from him that makes him a top 3 WR.

But they want that guaranteed money ASAP! Think about Diggs if he waited. No guaranteed money, no 100 million dollar contract and a blown out knee.

Know what's interesting about your "good dude" point. About a decade or so ago the NFL asked every player who the nicest guy in the league was and guess who won evidently by a landslide? Michael Vick!

The same guys that don’t want to sign Ceedee, are the same guys who don’t want to sign Dak, didn’t want to sign Diggs, or Law, or Steele, or the safeties, and probably won’t wanna make #11 the highest paid defender ever. It’s laughable at this point to discuss it with them.

We’ve had pro bowl OL for the past 30 years. Tons of them. What did it change?

Why is this? Two ideas -- 1. they don't understand the salary cap. 2. They are something I can't say on this board.

He’d be #1b

Dad would be useless with Devonta Smith

I've been posting with you for a long time. This may be the first time I am questioning your thought process.
