Give Me Olu Fushanu?

If we are drafting that high (top 5) I am doing my best to get a QB. Heck i want one of those anyway.

I hear you. But Man, that tackle makes your QB so much better, though. . Same for Alt, too. Amazing tackle group.

Also love the WRs in this class. Very impressed with Egbuka. But overall more impressive on the back end of round 1 this year.

By the way, this is a good year to grab a QB — even late in the first, and make a competition at the 2, 3 spots next year.

This is the dumbest thing that they can do. You'd be spending $10m+ cap dollars on backup QBs while at the same time failing to get anything out of your first-round pick. Just no logic to it.

OL is almost certainly going to be the best value where they pick.

They got their qb in the 4th round instead of the 1st. It could be a good move.
The goal is to try to take advantage of 4 to 5 years of cheap QB play.

They got Lance with two years left and his cap # for next year is $5.3M. It does not appear like he will play at all this year, so they got one year in 2024 of not-so-cheap QB play.

In a QB-rich draft next year, that same 4th round pick could have gotten you 2024 through 2027 of cheap salary and time to develop the next QB.

Some potential names are Shedeur Sanders, Jayden Daniels, Spencer Rattler, Riley Leonard, Cameron Ward, DJ Uiagaleli, Joe MIlton, KJ Jefferson, Carson Beck, Kyle McCord, Jaxson Dart. This sin't counting the 4 to 5 elite QB prospects who will go before these guys.

I think some of those guys can go much earlier than the 4th, but I agree with the point.

Man, looking at this draft, though. I kinda wish we had more draft picks next year.

We are gonna have to decide if we have an Olineman on the roster that can start next year (Tyron gone) or use our first on a Tackle/Guard.
I think Smith will kick out to LT next year, so do we have a starting caliber LG on our roster ?
That's the most important question come draft time.
RB, LBer, backup Corner (incase Diggs isn't ready), reality is that Rush may move on and our 4th this years trade, is our backup.

Late first round picks at QB rarely pan out. Teddy Bridgewater is probably a win for where he was drafted

I honesty believe in Bass. But apparently, our coaches don't feel that way. Personally, I would like to see us get another coach. I'm not a fan of Solari. I thought Philbin was much better.

I really would have liked the Cowboys to offer Peters at least an assistant OL coaching job. He was great for our OL last year.

He's a top 10 pick.
J.T Latham might still be on the board when we pick.

Like it or not, Dak is going to be our QB for the foreseeable future, so I can’t see the team looking to go QB in R1.

OT is the right position to target early because I would not be holding my breath on another year for Tyron. Steele has also regressed to the point you just need some actual talent at the position.

Which makes the 4th rounder for Trey Lance trade even stranger.
Where would Trey L go in upcoming draft?
Before 4th round no doubt.
Deep Qb group, but most will need same seasoning Lance needs, but without upside ceiling of Lance.
