Is Turpin the Cowboys’ 3 WR

It’s just you. He’s had 8 targets on designed plays. Should he get more, yes. But he’s not an every down WR and the 3 has to pretty much be. But he should have targets in every game. Just having him in makes a team have to adjust to him because he’s got that return skill he can use when you get him the ball. I’d have him coming out of the backfield some. Get him the ball in space

There's no clear cut WR3 at this time. I think a lot of it has to do with Dak getting his game sorted, getting Lamb started and getting Cooks and the TEs going. I think we'll learn more about WR3 in the coming weeks.

Cooks getting more and more involved is huge. More passes down the field and that’s where he thrives

4 targets a game is his average. It’s been this way since his first game and hasn’t gone up except in the. a cardinals game. he’s incredibly underutilized

This team has enough weapons at the skill positions.

It’ll go about as far as the offensive line and defense takes us.

He had a really good game yesterday. He’s more athletic than he appears but he’s had some drops though most where in one game if I remember right.

nope ... Turpin is still the 5th WR .

But he is used in spots and occasional packages - the others like Lamb & Cook clear out the traffic for him

And to Turpin's credit , if he is not pressed, jammed and can get free release off the line , he can get to any area of the field .. in a blink of an eye !!

..Turps is big play gadget guy. That 4.3 speed does wonders, if he finds space.

Not sure the person signing and the person designing were on the same page lol but as much as MM wants a quick passing game you have to be flexible. If the are covering guys on short routes start extending the routes. I like quick, short options but not so much with all the WR’s. Maybe one, TE and RB but I want someone getting downfield. Then the QB has multiple options
