Yes. The figure is a little misleading. The #1 seed gets the lowest surviving seed in the divisional round. The figure shows the most likely case: the 2 and 3 seeds hold serve and the 1 seed plays the winner of 4/5. But if there's an upset, it changes.

They are? They're 7-2 in their last 9 games. The loss against GB was ugly, but I think they will be fine.

Falcons might be the one team that hits our weakness. I want nothing to do with Bijan in a wild card game.

This makes it look like we automatically get Philly if we win. Don't think that's true. If a lower-seeded wild card wins, that team would play Philly and we'd play the next highest-seeded team, likely San Fran. We could even get a home game if all the wild cards win and we are the highest-seeded wild card, although based on how Seattle performed against San Fran, we most likely would travel to San Fran. Could see Minnesota upsetting Detroit, though, which means the Vikings would head to Philly.

Looking at and using the sim, it's seems like the Boys are going to get the 5th seed. The sim showed me the 49ers getting the NFC West and the 2nd seed after I picked the winning teams for each week of football left. It's look were to going face the Niners again at their place and if that's the case then....

If by good you mean another playoff exit then yeah I agree. Both teams defeated the boys at their place earlier in the season and while we might have a chance at Philly considering how the team played when they went their the 49ers are going to be next to unstoppable at Levi's stadium.

At some point we have to beat them. That’s just the way it is. I would prefer it be the eagles first anyway

I think it's most likely we'll have to beat both to get to the Super Bowl. Don't know if we will, but that seems like the path we'll have to take. Our only "easy" game will be the wild-card game.
