Draw up plays for cooks. He’s wide open most of the time - get him the ball more. Less Gallup- he’s not necessary.

That Gallup contract looks worse and worse all the time. It may ultimately prevent the team from being able to keep Cooks.

Gallup can be cut next year easily, luckily.
2024 he has a 4mil guarantee for injury become fully guaranteed on the 5th day. they can outright cut him pre-June 1st and save 800k on the cap.

It’s a shame because he had all the talent, especially deep. He just disappeared.

Gallup was wide open in the end zone last night, but Dak's progressions went from right to left, and he didn't see him in time, so he threw it to Turpin at the one(?) yard line.

It seems like that ACL injury really took away a lot of his speed. He now struggles to get separation even in single coverage.
It took away his transitions in and out of breaks where separation is created, he's not getting in or out smoothly.

I've been a Gallup supporter, but if he doesn't turn it around d and contributes in the Playoffs he might have to go...MG's career is hanging in the balance.

I feel bad for Gallup but he’s washed.

Unless he has some medical issue I’d say his career is done in another year or 2.

Yeah he’s gone.

13 dead, but 13.8mil cap hit.

Sucks, but at least they won't be eating more than his expected cap hit had he stayed. At this point, cut your losses and use that 800k as reserves.
So you’re paying almost the same amount to have the guy not play for you. Bad management no matter how you slice it.

Dallas hasn't been the best at signing their own to extensions. IMO expecting a WR to recover from an ACL injury is almost standard, especially at his age and the medical advancements. Just never expected him to be so mentally unsure of how to play post surgery.
Contract sucks and it lies on the F.O., but just to rip off the bandaid especially with the guarantee going to him on the 5th day of the new year.

I watched him last night he is afraid. To plant it , it might be more mental than physical but either way bye-bye.

Gallup could never separate. The problem is that he's not reliable at anything.

The contract was risky not because of the injury, but because the way that MG13 was successful is hard to replicate week to week, let alone season to season. Contested catches are just too volatile.
