This game reminded me of last season’s loss in the playoffs except Dak scored the go ahead touchdown. Tough loss. We really have to play at another level. Can we get there?

The thing is besides SF there really isn’t that much separation in the rest of NFC. We’ve shown we can hang with the rest. But we aren’t enough to overcome the best.

And that’s not necessarily an awful thing while it is disappointing and frustrating. Sometimes there’s just better teams in our way.

I actually agree with this. It would be best long term for us to lose to Detroit then Washington and then get ousted in the WC round. We have to pop the delusional thinking that we are contenders and we can not extend Dak to a record setting contract.

What if they win the next 2 games and win the division?
Then they will be the 2 and play the 7 at home.

This team is done. They don't run well on the road (or even pass for that matter, unless it's the Eagles)...and if they don't stop the run on the road they are dead meat. Sadly...as much we might wish and rationalize otherwise, it's not Superbowl caliber. I've seen enough of this nonsense. The chance that this season won't end up like the previous two is "extremely" remote. I'd rate it at less than 5%.

Folks we were a back up OT away from winning the game yesterday. It's a shame Smith did not play. Dak generally played well, you just can't have their best D lineman not be blocked multiple times.

If Smith does not return for the playoffs we are done, pure and simple.
