Would you still be a Cowboys fan if league was rigged?

There’s been so much talk over the officiating this year . But my bigger question is why would you be a fan of the NFL if thought it was rigged or fake ?

Questionable and poor officiating has always been part of the game . In real time it’s often difficult to see very angle . I have a brother in law who did officiating at amateur level and said they simply don’t always see these happening in real time .

The only answer is reviewing every play which surely no one really wants . It’s already dumbing down having to review every TD and catch. Does the game really have to be perfection.

Regardless the sport whether it’s a ball or strike , a personal foul or holding and interference there is a judgement in play based on how they see or don’t see it.

But to suggest without any other evidence that multiple slow-mo camera footage officials aren’t privy to in real time . Over the years we’ve never had any whistle blower , a disgruntled former official or employee , not one bit of evidence of any official or crews of any personal or organized collusion to rig or throw games .

All we have is camera footage after the fact. And of course very frustrated fans who are beside themselves with calls which appear so obvious on camera .

I’m sorry but until further evidence that footage after the fact I’m going to call it more sour grapes which I’m not saying isn’t justified but calling it rigged is baseless . And if they truly believe the league is rigged then why so much vested interest in a fake sport ?

In no fashion is the league rigged, but do we get our fair share of bad calls? Yup. This could be because of the constant moaning by our players, but we are also looking out for bad calls. I watch far too much Football and can tell you the refs this year are particularly awful and horrible, and this is shared by every analyst/journalist in the world

No and if the NFL doesn't get these crooked officials under control then I'm going to stop watching altogher. This is the least amount of the NFL I've watched since 1994 because all the penalties absolutely ruin the game. Someone needs to tell them that absolutely watches to see them. They seem to be under that impression.

I've been leaning towards it being rigged for a few years now and this year confirmed it. It's very sad.

I don't believe the NFL is rigged, but if your hypothetical was true, I wouldn't watch. They do need to figure out the refs though. Maybe it's just me but there does seem to be a ton of calls for all games I've watched this year and I'm not just talking about the Cowboys. It slows everything down, kills momentum and generally just makes it hard to watch at times.

I've already said several times that no matter how good we may be, there is NO WAY the league office will ever let us win a Super Bowl....especially while The Goon is still the commissioner. Why is Philly all of a sudden getting all of the calls that Green Bay got for years? They do NOT want us to win the division and have any shot at a high seed....this isn't just by accident folks.

Only four teams have been the beneficiary of more penalty yards on their opponents than the Cowboys, but fans see what they want to see. This isn't by accident folks.

It's a lot easier than accepting this front office hasn't been unable to get over the hump, and they have jobs for life. Let's find a scapegoat, the easiest one in the book.

It’s amazing how Fake ( NFL) Football continues to grow in popularity.

Is College Football fake too?

Do fans think all sports are fake?

I want to hear from the fans who think it’s rigged. Why do they still watch if think it’s fake football ?

Not rigged, manipulated, and I'm in the same boat. I've been watching less and less NFL due to the plethora of flags being thrown. It is absolutely ruining the game.

As for the manipulation, it's simply that I've seen way too many flags thrown at just the right time to keep the games close. Which is what I believe is happening. Why? Because this league is about money. Closer games keep people watching, the more people watching the more they can get for ads.

However, IMO they're now balanced on the cusp. If this continues they will lose a ton of fans. People who have denied it in the past have come out and told me they can no longer deny due to the mounting evidence. It's just too blatant.

It's not about who wins, it's about keeping it close.

Answer is because we love our team and we love football, but I have been watching less and less every year
It is getting to the point where the game is becoming unwatchable due to the flags.

If the NFL wants to stay on the top of the heap, it's past time that they do something about this before they lose a ton of money.

The league is going to make money regardless. Most games are close anyway.

Makes no sense risking integrity when already worth billions.

I won’t deny that officiating is a concern .

I won’t disagree officiating is a concern. Part of the problem is all of the new rules in recent years which has created all of these ticky tacky calls on PI and hitting the QB.

But those are league issues. I think they’ll have to address the hitting of the QB .

And who knows possibly some or a limited amount of penalties could become reviewable which I’m not in favor of reviewing every play.

Can’t stand we can’t have a TD without a review or even a catch. Game was never intended to be perfection.

Yes. Most games are close because they call it to make it that way. It did not used to be this way.

Fans don't care about integrity anymore. And they have plausible deniability. Plus, fans do not want to believe this, so they buy into the idea that it's not.

Look at you, an intelligent guy. And you're refusing to see what is right in front of you. Why? Because you don't want to see it.

When calls are made that keeps games close here or there, of course that happens. But, when it starts happening game after game after game, you gotta be in denial not to think something is happening.

Thing is, they messed up badly in the NO/MINNY debacle. There is simply no way to deny that the penalty was ignored. Not missed, ignored. There is simply no excuse to not call PI on a player who crash test dummy's into the intended while the ball is in the air. The defender admitted he was shocked himself at the no call, and that he committed the penalty on purpose because if they guy catches it, the game is over anyway. Terrible terrible no call, and it was intentional. Because there is no way it wasn't.
