Well, Dak is free to leave pretty soon. The ball is in Dak’s court. If Dak does not agree to an extension, the Cowboys have no choice but to make him a June 1st cut.

Go ahead and do it. Make my day.
The ball is not entirely in Dak's court. While the post June 1 cut saves 34 million this year, it dumps over 25 million in dead money into the 2025 cap.

That's a ton of money for a player no longer on the team. Which is why extending Dak actually makes the most sense, so long as there is an "out" where the Cowboys can move on when or if they choose.

It takes a strong type of personality to handle the drama in Big D, especially as QB, and you saw such personalities in Roger and Troy. It’s just the way it is due to tradition and everything being “bigger in Texas”. If you’re questioning whether you or someone else can do that, then you or they shouldn’t be here.

There is a part of me that wants Dallas to cut Dak like so many casuals on here want them to do. Then see him sign with Washington and then us lose to them for the foreseeable future..

Just so I could ruthlessly "I TOLD YOU SO" everytime we lose to them.

But that would be too painful for just that little gain. Especially since they all would deny they said it...as usual.

Dak performing in the division has never been the issue.

Instead of apologizing to the fans after humiliating us in front of the entire NFL world, the players have gone M.I.A., Micah is whining about excessive media criticism, and the family members are giving fans lectures. What a curse it is being a fan of this franchise.

This is Dak over Dallas fan mentality folks.

If Dak goes then they hope he goes to a divisional rival and beats us.

Dak over Dallas fans ARE NOT Cowboys fans.
