We aren’t used to it, but I think that’s the thinking. If you have two point plays you like, go now….make it, Detroit feels real pressure and maybe you win outright on the road. It wasn't though. You have to restrict the receiver's ability to make a catch. You can touch him all you want though. Collinsworth was right. If you establish that your path needed to be back to the ball and the DB is contacting you to the opposite direction, then you have a case.

He did restrict him from making the ability to catch. Even on the telecast they said he shouldn't have back peddled in order to get the call. That's insane.
