Dak - if you have a super sh!!!!!ty game your last game of the season , you are fired! You always do this to us and it HALTS our season.
Regardless of how he plays, after the last game he’s in line to be a free agent. If the Cowboys want him they’ll have to offer him a deal he’ll agree to. If he plays well he’ll be more expensive.

A headline for sure but really nothing new. Still suspect daks here for the long haul. Zero chance they move on imo ,for those that want dak gone maybe he leaves in free agency if it gets that far

He is pretty much playing for his job this season.

Just like football players used to do it back in the day!

Do not feel bad for him. If he does lose his job after the 2024 season, he will get somewhere around a 50 million dollar payday!
He’s not playing for his job he’s playing for the Cowboys and quite frankly with how they run their team I’d ask to be traded. If I cared about winning. If I care about money then yeah I’d stay a sucker here. But more money to be made as a winner.

He is not playing for his job. He is playing for free agency. What makes you think Dak will want to come back next year?

Dallas is not trying to win. Go back and listen to Tyron Smith.

Why would CD and Micah want to resign other than the money at this point?

CD is going to sign a big contract with no QB? Would you do that if you were him?

Are you going to risk an injury and play another year and potentially miss out on a big contract?

If CD decides to hold out, then what?

Don't be surprised when Dak holds out a week before the season starts.

I agree and that’s why I’m not ready to say Lance can even beat out Rush. Especially if he hasn’t earned the trust of this team.
We will see this coming preseason what Trey can and can not do!

I am sure he will get every chance to be the second string QB if not battle for the top spot on the team!

Jerry traded for him and he is going to make surer Trey gets his chances.

It is. Whether you are team rebuild or team contender….they are making a fool of everyone.
Except the ones that have been calling it step by step.

Others would bite on every story about a Dak extension while ole Mountain was right there to let em know it wasn’t gonna happen every time.

Really be smart to look at Pats, Raiders or Vikings and see if you can workout a trade.

However, we don't do smart things most the time. So I expect them to play out this season...end up making the playoffs, Dak poops bed in postseason again, and we reward him with 60 million a year in the offseason.

Playing out your contract is not losing your job. Playing out your contract is losing your team. Dak, like every other player in the NFL does not play for a team. He plays for money.

Oh trust me it is new. In a follow-up tweet, Rapoport said all signs point to Dak hitting free agency next year.

That means, no contract extension during camp like many of the homers were hoping for.

We cant tag him so they are for sure ok with the prospect of him leaving after this season

Seems to be trending towards the Joneses clearing out everything for a new coach next season.
