PFN sim. Focus was to trade down and I tried to stick with players we have been connected to.

29. Traded back with Detroit. Got picks 29 and 61 for 24 and 174.
- Graham Barton - IOL Duke.

56. Blake Fisher OT -Notre Dame.

63. Traded 61 and next years 6th to SF for 63 and 132.
- Jonathan Brooks RB - Texas

87. Trevin Wallace- LB- Kentucky

132. McKinley Jackson - DT - A&M

216- Jordan Whittington - WR -Texas

233- Dominique Hampton - S - Washington

244 - Jordan Magee - LB - Temple

Thoughts?

I like it. I am addicted to these draft simulators. To be honest I have done it at least 100 times. Barton, Fisher, Wallace and Jackson end up on my picks a lot. Brooks is an avoid for me. I am tired of the hurt guys coming in.

Would be fairly happy with it. Would like it better if we'd taken a DT earlier, but Jackson looks like he might at least be a decent run stopper.

Jordan Magee!!! one of my pet cats in the draft. Will say he will be one of the best day 3 picks.

One major note from the simulated draft for Dallas: that huge gap with no fourth round pick really hurts.
Cowboys desperately need additional picks.

Overall it's very good. I'm personally not a huge fan of Fisher and think we can probably do better than him there. I have mocked all of the others to us various times this off season.

Lots of chatter that the Steelers are in love with Barton. He probably won't fall to #24.

NFL people tend to think he would have been a 1st round pick if not for the rehabbing an injury.

Both our projections are very similar, I like it!

Thanks for sharing.
Just to "nitpick" I'm not sure it would be wise to trade back from 61 to 63 if Brooks is the guy you want.
Unless you have another player in mind that you'd want as bad as him.
I appreciate the plan here. Build the line. Find a guy to run behind them. Wallace would be a nice pick there at 87.

My take is this. There isn't a single Tackle in this draft that is better than Tyler Smith is right now. I usually grab a guard and center. Both positions are much deeper with play now guys. I sometimes will grab a tackle from 6th on to develop. Like your picks, though.

If this happened, I'd be more than fine with it. Great job getting Barton. Magical job getting 3 starters plus 2 subs in the first 5 picks.

I saw Brooks play several times in college and he’s legit. BUT…he hurt his knee in November which is pretty late in the year to expect him to be 100% for TC. I prefer Jaylon Wright from Tennessee who has the great combo of speed (4.38) and stoutness (210). He’s never had a leg injury and is just 21.

I would not be disappointed at all if Wright was the RB they draft.

Thought the same thing.

Barton probably doesn't make it past the Seahawks at 18.

My first thought on the mock is PFN must have extremely loose parameters on trades. The points add up to 170 in our favor for the first trade which is what pick 84 in round three is worth. But if Detroit wanted to move up that badly and Barton was there at 29 I would love the pick.
