At least they are shoring up the O-line, which is necessary. Seeing what they done with Tyler Smith, who looked to be a penalty machine coming out of college, this could actually turn out well.

He played a full season at lt i think before moving to rt
played a full season of RT before moving to LT, yes in the pros.

Smith played three seasons with the USC Trojans from 2008 to 2010. As a freshman, he was the backup left offensive tackle. He appeared in 10 games. As a sophomore, he started the first twelve games at right offensive tackle. He earned All-Pac-10 honorable mention and CollegeFootballNews.com Sophomore All-American honorable mention for the 2009 season. As a junior, he appeared in twelve games at ROT again.

Smith wasn't AT ALL bad he was just behind other top of the draft guys.
Like Guyton he was a freak athlete who needed to develop the technique we all now know and miss.

There were a few that liked it but the majority was negative. Have to remember that was the Johnny Manziel draft and people were pissed we didn't pick him
I liked the Martin pick. I don't know of anyone other than Jerry and few zoners who wanted Manziel.

There were a lot of people that didn't want Martin and some that wanted Manziel. Either way my point stands, Martin wasn't a popular at that time.

surprised the 49ers took a WR there. Figured with Greenlaw's achilles injury, they'd go with LB with Cooper sitting there...
