ESPN depth charts mean nothing. I follow baseball and basketball closely and check a few teams in this regard and ESPN seems to just make wild guesses sometimes with their depth charts

not new who cares what the unofficial ESPN depth chart says right now during training camp versus when the regular season starts because it's the same 3 quarterbacks that we had last year so nothing's new... Let me be clear it's ESPN's unofficial Dallas Cowboys depth chart they don't have a real depth chart because the Cowboys haven't even made one yet that don't happen two weeks before game one when all the cut downs happen..

The kid who is going to get pressured, loose his train of thought trying to find an open target, take off running with the ball and get hurt because he's injury prone. These are all the reasons the 9ers swallowed their pride and sent this kid down the road. They made a mistake and moved on, which is something the Cowboy brain trust can't seem to wrap their heads around..................... We don’t have a better option that I know of. You don’t just cut a draft pick without a better option so quick. They liked something about the pick and they will give him time to see if he develops into what they expected
