Tyron Smith dealing with training camp injury while now with the NY Jets

Tyron had a good year last year. But he has been injury prone for the last few years and wasn't someone who could be counted on consistently. The Cowboys almost pulled the trigger on him last year and made the right decision to finally do it this year.

does not sound like an injury; they are being cautious. The way we used Tyron last year worked well; I am guessing the Jets are doing the same.
He is still an elite LT when healthy. They are taking one big chance with Rodgers so why not with Tyron?

"All in all, it is not surprising that Smith is missing time at Jets training camp with a physical ailment. Nor is it surprising that coach Robert Saleh - who says Smith is dealing with general "tightness'' - wants to be careful here."

Surely he'll be missed, but the small injuries were a problem for the future hall of famer

The last few years, Tyron Smith‘s biggest problem was his health. Although I was sad to see him go, keeping him here another year at the price tag he would warrant was not a good move IMO. The FO made a rare good decision there, lol.

Plus, we needed to begin preparing for the future at LT anyway.

he will be ready week 1. That said, he will miss games this year. We got lucky with him last year.

I do think it was smart to move on from Smith due to his constant injury history in recent years, but this is just a click-bait article.

The Jets said he is dealing with "tightness" .. I would hardly call that an injury.

The article writer obviously has been waiting to write that story all off-season and jumped at the chance to do it the first practice he missed it seems.

Noble knew what it was... even if he just plays 10 games he will be a top 3 LT in those 10 games

Agreed, and i'm hoping we've found that in Guyton!!! Hoping Smith comes back or is in contact with Guyton to help him in his career

We've seen these injuries turn into injuries that haunt him during the season
