Granted he wasn't playing with top talent, but he wasn't facing top talent either.

He didn't do enough, and a lot of his placement with open receivers was a bit off.

Plus, he can't even throw a simple fade to a wide open receiver in the end zone. That 4th down miss was awful.

Lance is literally on the chopping block.

I'd like to see more intermediate / long throws from him instead of these 5-10 yard plays. Hard to do with piss poor blocking from the O-line.

He looked average and raw. Looked afraid to challenge the defense and throw it between the numbers. OL and receivers didn't help but he didn't play like someone that had command of the offense.

Also McCarthy didn't call a game plan to put him in the best in position to be successful. Sean Payton had the perfect game plan for Bo Nix to leverage his mobility, Lance there the ball 40+ times.

The question is, "Is he more disappointing than watching the Cowboys lose in the playoffs the last three seasons because of their quarterback?"

To get 4 defensive Ints and have a bunch of field goals to show for it def. is dissapointing. Maybe Lance is what the 49ers thought he was.

I think they were more turned off by his inability to stay healthy, but I'm just making a guess.

Raw is a way to describe a rookie, or maybe a 2nd year year player.

At some point, a player is who he is.

Lance is well past that point.

I think if Lance flames out, it is kind of worse in a way.. You always hope you can luck into a future long term QB that changes the franchises fortunres. Right now that doesn't look close to happening.

Seeing Dak fail in the playoffs is a known now and people who are not in total denial know the deal there after almost a decade.
