I respect Patrick Mahomes even more now. I was really hoping Dak and CD would take a team friendly deal like Patrick did. Since they didn't, and if they sign Parsons to a record deal for a defensive player, all the drafts from this era will almost have to be home runs because we will lose a lot of solid players from not having enough pie left from the Big-3 eating it all.
Since Dak is our franchise QB and he loves being a Cowboy, being that his mom and dad and the rest of his family grew up a huge fan, for now, I still support him 100 percent. But things have changed for me since he's now the highest paid player in the history of the NFL. He's the face of the franchise, the leader of our team, the highest paid player, he better step up in the playoffs. I have no doubt he will have ANOTHER successful regular season, again in the top-3 statically, but he better not have ANOTHER playoff failure. I know our playoff failures haven't all been his fault. But now that he put that HUGE bullseye on his back with that huge contract, he's the easiest target to hit if it does happen again. If they come out flat again like they did against the Packers, he better put them on his back and lead us to a win, like he's getting paid to do.
The top-10 highest paid QB's in the NFL, no Super Bowls wins and only one has a winning record in the playoffs. Crazy.
Much respect to you, Patrick. Another rose from Tyler, Texas. The other being Earl "The Tyler Rose" Campbell. Both great guys too.
