We think we are better but 5 put of the next 6 games will tell us for sure.

Home against the Saints and Ravens then after the Giants playing the Steelers away, the Lions home, then the Niners away.

I personally think we will fare well if we are healthy but we will see. I trust the master tactician Zim.

Always moving the goalposts

I think if we come out of that with just a couple of losses, we're in good shape. We're not going to beat everyone. If I had to guess, Ravens and 49ers are the losses.

Interesting that the "buzzsaw" part of the schedule will be over before Halloween.

Of course, every contest counts equally on the schedule. But I really, REALLY want to see the 'Boys take out SF this year in Santa Clara (a game that comes off the 10/20 bye week).

That's a tall order. I liked the Cowboys performance today against the Browns, but there's a lot of football to be played between now and SF.

We'll probably be lucky if that's the only losses. It's a little early to count those chickens before they hatch. LOL

Agree but a lot can happen over the next 6-7 weeks

That’s a pretty brutal early schedule

Trust me those are the games you don't always want to peg as loses. You'd want the cowboys to actually start winning those kind of games. All that tells me is dallas may only be good enough this year to be one and done in the playoffs.

We're going to lose some games. I'm only picking the most likely ones. Maybe we beat the Niners and lose to Detroit. I just doubt we get through this stretch unscathed.

True. We don't know what shape any of the teams, including ours, will be in. We probably just lost our starting tight end for a few games. Green Bay lost its QB. A lot can change.

I don't see why this team should be significantly worse than last year, so unlike some, I'm not expecting us to go from 12-5 three straight seasons to 9-8 or worse than that.

I also don't see any reason to expect us to be significantly better based on our offseason moves, so we'll see how it goes.

Next week will be interesting - need to be better in the passing game to keep up, although less of a DL challenge than Cleveland.

I agree, I have strong hopes of the team being better in some ways than last year. I think Zimmer is already showing a better defense than we had with DQ last year, and our LBrs are clearly better than last year. Hopefully the defense will be stronger against the run. Not sure how the RB situation is going to fare this year yet.
