Favorite drummers

Vastly underrated. Easily top 5. First time I saw him was with Black Oak Arkansas in 1973 on their Raunch 'N' Roll Live tour. He ended his drum solo by throwing his sticks in the crowd and finishing his solo with his hands.

I just realized.....that was 50 years ago? :omg:
and the man is still just as good if not even better.

ronnie tutt.
elvis' drummer from '69-'77.
best heard on the live albums as recorded at madison square garden('72)...and recorded live on stage in memphis('74).

A favorite drumming performance...

Dave Grohl performs "Smells Like Teen Spirit" by Nirvana at The Ford in Los Angeles on 10/13/21 during his Storyteller book tour.

Kenny Aronoff. I attended his drum clinic like 30 years ago even though I'm a guitarist/bassist.

Remember the drum solo in Jack and Diane, that's him...talks about pocket playing and how drum solos are overrated essentially.

Dude can seriously play. Was always on Letterman.
