Teri Garr, actor from Tootsie and Friends, dies aged 79

I remember her most fondly from the failed spinoff from Star Trek with Robert Lansing as Gary 7.

A very fine lady in all ways.
RIP
Spin off of Star Trek? What was the name?

I'm not one of those ~weird Star Trek fans you see on TV. (well, at least not in that way) Though I'm an unapologetic Star Trek fan who uses Star Trek episodes as white noise when I sleep. :)

If i am not mistaken she was in an episode from the original series, Assignment Earth.

Young Franken"shteen" was when I first saw her in a film. It was in a theater called "The Community Theater" and it cost 50¢ to get in.

Hot as all hell in the Star Trek episode with Gary 7, I do not recall the spin-off.

This is very sad news. I had the biggest crush on her back in the Mr. Mom days. Teri Garr was gorgeous and funny!! May she RIP

No they weren't, it became popular after syndication and reruns
Per Google's AI: Yes, the Star Trek episode "Assignment: Earth" was originally written as a standalone series, but was later reworked as a backdoor pilot for a proposed spinoff. The spinoff was never produced.

In the episode, the USS Enterprise travels back in time to 1968 Earth to conduct historical research. There, they encounter an interstellar agent who is planning to intervene in 20th-century events. The episode was Teri Garr's first major TV role.
