There was a time or two Moore's offense was labelled as gimmicky while he was here. Just saw an article where former Dallas RB coach Skip Peete mentioned how Detroit used a few gimmicks to score.

And how that likely a heavy dose of that might be on tap tomorrow.

What say you?

Moore's offense gimmicky? When?

I recall only on some occasions when he tried to get too cute and it backfired that people complained.

Never have I heard his offense considered gimmicky.

they're going to pull out something on us, teams don't think much of us, look at the Lions game

Read the article at A to Z sports. I can't copy and paste on my phone (don't know how).

I suppose the gimmick term came from his time as QB at Boise State where coach Petersen acknowledge they embraced the use of gimmick plays.

Per NBC Sports:

"During Moore's four years in Dallas as offensive coordinator and play caller, the Cowboys averaged 27.7 points per game2nd-most in the NFL behind the Chiefs' 28.8."
what did those points actually get us

Kellen Moore was the guy ahead of Prescott before his career ending leg injury.

If fate weren't so fickle Moore would be the Cowboys starting QB.

Mind blown, eh? He spent 8 years in Dallas as backup QB and OC.

His offense was the best chance fans had of ever bringing Booger out of the stone age of leather helmets!

Dom has a couple of plays coming his way I am told...MM is so dense he won't figure out the guy isn't eligible to even play

lol. Was never going to happen. Moore wouldn’t have won games at the rate Dak did and Romo would have came back for the playoffs. You know what Jason Garrett’s record is as a head coach with a QB not named Romo or Prescott? It starts with a 1. The second part of that record is double digits. We saw Moore play when Romo got hurt. He sucked.

Lol,
The way Dak performed during that preseason, the likelihood of Moore holding onto the starting position until the start of regular season was exactly nil!

Nothing and they were the top ranked offense under MM last year, nothing again.

KM wasn't always terrible. Unfortunately he would have massive brain farts and terrible games when we needed him the most. The same thing will happen in Philly, just as it did with the Chargers. Its as if people have no memories. I swear this board is so in love with recency bias I'm surprised when we think past the current season.

You two seem to forget your boy would've never seen the field if Moore had not gotten injured.

Now his boss has “massive brain farts and terrible games” so he looks skilled in comparison. The biggest gimmick play the Eagles will execute tomorrow is not handing it off to Barkley on first down.

Would have made All-Pro or Pro Bowl.....had Detroit not gave up on him and Dak wasn't in the way. He would have floated balls all over the place for wins. Got it.

my bad......had Brandon Weeden and Matt Cassel not been in the way. Dang. We would have seen record breaking performances.
