Sports media talking about Deion Sanders coaching the Cowboys

Just a bunch of overpaid talking heads merging two subjects with high click bait. Sports journalism is as dead as it's ever been.

Anyone who has ever followed the Cowboys and paid attention knows that Deion couldn't be further from Jerry's radar. Not even sure Deion's strengths and style would even translate well to the pros, but I'll always be a fan of the man.

I don't care who Jerry hires as long as the Cowboys win.

What a dream to have your father coaching you in the biggest show on earth.

Trade Prescott. Sure, that'll definitely happen lol
Outside of a NTC, and huge dead cap hit, why wouldn't it be a possibility??? lol

And just like that, Jerry is back to enjoying a successful season. Leading the airwaves and making money are the only metrics that matter.

Anyone serious about Shedeur and his dad coming here just wants to watch a good soap opera reality show. At this point I don’t even care because the alternative might be Kellen Moore.

It’s so annoying I wish the Cowboys would just be relevant off the field as they are on it but it’s just not happening.

TV personalities never have to face the consequences of their half-cocked ideas. "Hire Deion!" "Draft Shedeur!" and when that goes bad? "Fire Deion" "Cut Shedeur!" The talking head suffer no penalties for their wrong calls.

IMO opinion as a fan, hiring Deion would be a mistake. Drafting his son would compound that mistake tenfold.

This team does not need a circus. It does not need the distractions Deion would bring with him. It needs seriousness and discipline. Maybe Deion will be a great NFL coach somewhere someday, but not in Dallas and not now.

As for Shedeur, I have seen him play about 5 times. I am not impressed. I don't see what all the fuss is about. He looks like a college QB to me and not a great one. I can see him as a 3rd round pick by someone but no way would I use a top 10 pick on him. If I am about to start a rebuild of my franchise, I am not picking Shedeur as my QB. He has bust written all over him. And if his dad is the HC? What then? How do you fire Deion if his kid is the QB? How do you cut Shedeur if his dad is the coach? To many complications.

Stay away from Deion and son.

Why wouldn't folks love to have another Prime time drama series called Dallas? Most the major characters are in place. Deion just completes the ensemble cast.

Only way Deion comes here is if the Cowboys agree to take either Shedeur or Travis Hunter. The other piece here is that Deion is likely going to command a lot more money from Jerry than McCarthy is currently getting paid. Not only does he make more than McCarthy now, Deion would have to pay to get out of his current deal with Colorado. Maybe the media frenzy Deion would bring would justify the cost, but historically Jerry doesnt like to pay his HCs.

I have long thought that it would be impossible for me to dislike Deion more than I already do.

But if he brings his circus act to coach the Cowboys I'm sure I could find a way.....
Why do you dislike Deion? Just curious. BTW, he's not coming to Dallas....it's the media frenzy to come up with a story to have a reason to discuss a bad team. Kellen Moore is the next coach.

I'm not loving the Deion idea but if it involves somehow finally being rid of Prescott, I'm all for it.

I’ll take Deion in a heartbeat

You know why? Because Jerry HAS to concede some power and Deion would run ALL on FIELD operations

But you need both a Great Oc and DC because Deion is a game manager and excellent at it

What a great plan. Tank the season, ditch Dak (yay!), then hire Deion who picks his son to be the QB thus continuing to feed this malignant, nepotistic cancer of a franchise.

He’s about to get the #1 QB recruit in the country, Julian Lewis. He’s staying if that happens.

Jerry is smiling at all the talking heads. Still winning when he's losing.
