I think he is going to another college program ( Gators or FSU ) before the NFL. Remember this is his first winning season at a Div 1 school. You could argue he really hasn't done much yet. IMO, he is not ready for the big stage, especially dealing with the media.

I don't think Deion would leave college coaching if his QB recruit comes to Colorado. He's trying to get some stud freshman QB.

Why do you dislike Deion? Just curious. BTW, he's not coming to Dallas....it's the media frenzy to come up with a story to have a reason to discuss a bad team. Kellen Moore is the next coach.
I generally have a distaste for people who are a little too much into the showmanship angle. It's just not my style for people who always seem to make it about themselves

I understand that's his schtick and it's made him a boatload of money but I don't personally care for it.

I also don't think that computes well to success at the highest level coaching wise. Jmho

That said he was clearly one of the greatest shutdown corners of all time and so to be clear, my dislike for him is more about his persona and braggy demeanor

From a pure performance perspective there aren't many, if any, who did it better than him and I respect the hell out of his game

Just could do without all the other nonsense

This board will meltdown if it's kellen moore:laugh:

For this culture and long term future…hiring Deion Sanders as the next HC would be a disaster.

Which is exactly why it’s entirely possible with an owner who cares way way way more about getting lots of eyeballs on his product than his product actually winning something of value besides the Forbes “trophy”.

If Deion was interested, Jerry would do this in a heartbeat.

Think of the attn the franchise would get with this storyline. Even more so if we end up with Shadeur, too. From a business standpoint, too good to be true.

Of course, everything else would suffer, but we're already suffering, so who really cares.

Just a bunch of overpaid talking heads merging two subjects with high click bait. Sports journalism is as dead as it's ever been.

Anyone who has ever followed the Cowboys and paid attention knows that Deion couldn't be further from Jerry's radar. Not even sure Deion's strengths and style would even translate well to the pros, but I'll always be a fan of the man.
Yeah I don't see it being a strong possibility. Just a bunch of opinions out there without much basis right now. Sanders has said he wasn't that interested in coaching in the pros, and just because you're close to someone it doesn't mean you want them to be your boss.

Just think of the coach jerseys he could sell!

Just like what Lebron turned the Lakers to, a once proud franchise. Unfortunately, with no change in ownership in sight, it is the reality show aspect of the Dallas Cowboys.

I respect Deion and wish him all success. But this is becoming sad.

I will probably just quit watching this team at that point. Been a fan my entire life, I will not be able to root for this team if he’s the HC.

BoysForLife.....good take....and respected.

You don't have to worry about Prime coming here......it's a click-bait & ratings topic. Jerry will not unleash any kind of authority or roster decision-making, much less watch Prime getting more attention. Jerry is the GM, and under normal circumstances.......would be fired by now........early draft selection issues (Taco, Mazi, Schoonmaker, Joseph, etc.).........player development, roster defections compounded by no action..........handling contracts prior to the 25th hour........ crafty trade deals (none).

I'm sorry to inform you about my prediction (Kellen Moore)..........get ready for the meltdown. It's what Jerry does......Jerry things. What would Kellen provide immediately, beyond "Thank you Mr. Jones", with this team?

I say, give me somebody innovative young that the league already hasn’t scrutinized, yes I’ll take a rookie coach a player coach like Detroit

Same, it's bad enough as it's been.
And what makes you think he won’t succeed. Already quitting that’s what I mean about this place. It’s ridiculous.

Hiring Deion fixes the culture yes you have to deal with flash but he’d also be the most demanding coach we’d have since Parcells

I don’t want Deion. I think Deion is a master recruiter and he could get college aged players to play hard for him and respect but im not sure that translate to the nfl and Im not sure from an strategic point he is what we need
