Right now we are lumped in with 4 other 3 win teams and ahead of 5 2 win teams. However our remaining schedule is unforgiving. One of our two remaining "winnable" games is a teamnwe barely beat when we were much healthier. Losing out and landing the #1 overall pick is definitely a possibility

No and for three reasons:

1. Stupid win against Pittsburgh

2. Our SOS puts us at a major disadvantage when it comes to tiebreakers. We will need to lose out and hope those other 2 win teams win at least 2 games

3. Mike McCarthy. He has no contract next year. He cant care less about tanking for a high draft pick since he wont be here. He will do everything to win games. Its why Trey hasnt been names the starter yet.

He shouldve been fired after the Lions game

McCarthy should have been fired after the packers game last Jan. The rebuild could have and should have started this year instead of just throwing this entire season away. Now the “official” rebuild starts in 2025.

Dont think the stupid owner has any intentions/idea on a rebuild

Yes, if we lose out to go 3 and 14. That would put them in the top 3 with a shot at 1.

The rebuild did start this year. Drafting in the top of the draft is part of the process.

Not a bad spot....especially if the Giants are at 1 or 2 coz they HAVE to draft a QB. We could still get Hunter.......
Is Hunter a great fit in Dallas? Carson has issues, but he’s still a rookie with high upside. Would Hunter come in to be… CB#4? Or Do you start him over All-Pro bland?

Gotta go lines, too many holes there

CB is simply not a need; and Hunter might not be better than either Diggs or Bland
So frankly I do not see him being worth spending a top pick on
neither top QB is worth it
honestly, Breer is very much correct about a top five pick not being worth as much as usual
and by the way we have no real shot at the top spot so this whole thread is not serious

He’s a good fit everywhere…you don’t draft need in the top 5.

Bland kicks inside while he’s here and walks when he hits FA soon.

We’re not going to pay Bland regardless.

3 makes sense. But #3 is still on the field 80% of the time. He'd be #1 by his second year. I just dont see where he got #4 from
yeah that might have been a mistake as I kind of doubt the trash we have currently after Diggs and Bland would beat him out

IF Bland continues to get pick 6's yes Jethro will pay him

We might, then cut Diggs down the line when we have an out in his deal. Probably all depends on how Bland plays without Quinn. It also might make more sense keeping Diggs on his deal than giving Bland a 2nd contract. Bland could wind up more expensive. Either way I don't see the two playing together for more than two more seasons one way or the other

Whole point being we aren’t paying 2 CBs.

You don’t draft need, but you’re mindful of surplus. Like Cincinnati isn’t going QB if they end up with a top 10 pick. Philly would never go DT. Chiefs won’t go IOL. Chicago isn’t going WR.

Why are you so sure Dallas won’t pay Bland? Jerry’s team architecture is based on keeping star talent rather than paying for other people’s; you can’t compare it to any other team in the league. Keeping an All-Pro CB is exactly what he’s doing this for.
