Has been absolutely horrible besides Overshown, who hopefully isnt plagued by injuries. It's looking like the worst draft class since the special teams draft in 2009.

Wow those 3 years went by fast!

Mazi Smith and Luke Schoonmaker - who knows how this will turn out. A new HC could help. Rough start so far.

DeMarvion Overshown - superstar

Asim Richards - future starter

Eric Scott Jr. - still no clue why the Cowboys traded up to get him.

Deuce Vaughn - horribly managed and misused

Jalen Brooks - shows promise but fans with no patience seem to have given up on a 7th rounder already

When you have the perpetual talent overload of Jerry's Jubilation, you just absorb minor hiccups like this and roll on. #4 covers all warts.

I mean it’s still early. So far we know they got players in Aubrey and Overshown. Asim looks good.

Don't sleep on Asim Richard...I was extremely impressed by what he showed last week. I hate to overreact to such a small sample size, but he looked like he can start in this league.

Even Mazi I wouldn't completely close the book on. Yeah as far as living up to 1st round expectations he is likely going down as a bust, but he has flashed a little bit this year. The biggest problem with Mazi IMO is that the Cowboys feel the need to push him into a position to be a starter, when he would probably be fine as a rotational DT at this point.

True but this is not good enough, especially considering how much we rely on the draft.
Thats a Jerry/Stephen issue though, not a player issue. Ultimately the draft has a lot more misses than hits in it. Drafting well is crucial, but being this dependent on the draft is an easy way to lose over the long haul.

horrible is an understatement.
2024 ain't that much better despite 4 starters being rookies. that speaks more to the lack of talent on this team, than the talent of the draftees.

That my friend is why are in the mess we are in IMO. It catches up with ya coz like you said no team's going to big hits every year. It also impacts your post-season when you refuse to sign quality free agents.

The three year wait for evaluation of picks ended a long time ago.

Cap concerns have forced teams to have multiple first contract contributors every year or they rapidly fall behind.

That old quote no longer applies.

I see excuses and unwarranted assumptions about several of these players
Overshown is looking real good but he is far from a superstar
Richards MIGHT be a starter; and how good might that be is unknown
Vaugn and Brooks nothing and frankly by now there should be something
Mazi and Schoon have shown nothing either

SO at this moment there is ONLY ONE PLAYER OF THIS DRAFT that is worth his pick
THAT is a bad draft

Overshown can be a very good player.

The only hope is Overshown becomes a star and Richards becomes a solid starter. To be honest the Parsons draft was really bad too. High picks and we blew all of them except Parsons. The scary thing is we were going to pick Horn Jr. over Parsons.

Richards might make it too. He has looked pretty good whenever he's got a chance. Dude has starter-caliber length and movement, and his strength is coming along. IMO, he just needs some seasoning.

Mazi and Schoon are clean whiffs though. Mazi is the worst DT in football, and Schoon has been phased out for a UDFA blocking tight end.

That draft wasnt too bad IMO. Obviously its heavily propped up by one guy, but Parsons, OSA, and Gholston is a draft any team would take. If only they had a redo at the 2nd rounder.
