This season was a waste, and somehow in 2025, we're going to make all these MOVES and spend money that we could have spent in 2024. If that gets you happy, and causes you to be back on the Cowboys hype train, something is wrong! I feel cheated as a fan that we didn't do anything this past off season, and because we have more money (we could have created cap space by doing things we've already talked about in these forums), it's going to be ALL-in in 2025, i'm not buying it. I feel like we'll need time to evaluate this team from the 2024 off season vs the 2025 off season. It's going to get really really interesting, hold on to your seats guys and gals!!

Realistically, anyone can quit being a fan. It is entirely voluntary. Otherwise, anyone can remain a fan, of any team, of any sport, for as little or long as they desire.

There is never any coercion. No one holds a gun to anyone's head enforcing an unwanted decision. It is always about personal choice. Please. Give me your thoughts.

How can anyone say that when they don’t even know who the new HC is? Silly

They have 10 draft picks, 1 could be top 5 that could give them a top 3 player. They could end up with 3 or 4 picks in the top 65. They also should have around 100 million in cap space.

right so we have to see how they actually put it to use, and if they're actually using the money to get better. Mike Fisher made the comment days ago saying "why wouldn't they use the money they will have at their disposal this off season!?????

Jerry will make enough moves to generate hope, sell it to the casual and fringe fans. ardent fans will continue to bicker, argue and suffer regardless. they are not going away.
so a new coach. a big name signing in FA, maybe maybe maybe a 2nd or 3rd wave of FA signing. sell the draft to everyone and given I expect we end up at 5-12, probably be a 8 win team and he will tell everyone we are headed in the right direction. sell hope the next year again.

exactly what I mean!!!! I'm not saying don't be a fan, I'm really just saying be careful!!!!! If I said that or gave that impression my bad, I know how most of you guys love the Cowboys more than things you really should love in life (speaking in general)

I will ALWAYS be a fan......... a couple of bad seasons vs 35+ years? Not even close

This is not a good thread OP ............ something ALL Cowboys will agree about, we are lifetime fans. That's pride right there ....lol

I've been a fan of this team for over 20 years longer than you have been alive.

Don't think for a second that you can tell me what I can or can't be a fan of.

I will be a fan of this team forever. Yesterday. Today. Forever!

Yes, those are my thoughts.

Like I said, I didn't mean to to imply that we're not fans etc etc, I'm just saying it's hard in these times knowing how this off season went, is this what we have to look forward to the future? If that was really the plan to rebuild, just say it, stop selling this thing to be something special, I could have taken that on the chin if he said I don't think we'll be able to do as much or whatever. He continues to say we'll be fine, I like what we're doing, he acts surprised as if he actually went out and did big spending other than Lamb and dak

They also will have a lot of historically bad teams on the schedule next year.

Don’t get me wrong we are a bad football team. Every move Jerry made backfired. I just think we had injury bad luck. We lost everyone of our defensive ends for heaven’s sake and our starting quarterback. A new coaching staff, some free agents, good draft, and good injury luck changes everything.

Some or most are lifetime fans, just like any team's fans. All fans are not lifers, no matter what they say or feel at any given time.

I thought I would be a lifetime Philadelphia 76ers fan in 1977. My fanship ended in 1992 when Charles Barkley was traded to the Phoenix Suns.

My example is not typical and does not apply to all examples of temporary fanship. Quitting as a fan happens for all kinds of reasons but the reasoning behind it is always the personal choice of the fan. It does not happen because of some wild assumption, thought into existence by a caffeine starved fanatic. :)

We are in the gutter, no question, but I don't expect this to last very long. As a matter of fact, I hope we are back competing for the division next season......yes 2025 next season (lol).

So what does this mean.

A. Many on here we will not see until 2026?
B. Many on here will keep it the same depressing posts and threads until 2026?

I vote for A.

Coog, maybe 2027 or 2028. We have alot to turn around here. 2026 might be asking too much.
