Looking at the schedule, it’s quite possible that Dallas Cowboys could go on a run and end up 8-7. Maybe this is copium but at least hear me out. In the next four games, we are facing the 2-9 Giants, the 4-7 Bengals, the 3-8 Panthers and the 5-6 Buccaneers. None of these teams are unbeatable and crazier things have happened.

Win those four games and we can talk playoffs. Imagine that?

Agreed.

Funny because I predicted a 10 - 7 season while making the playoffs. Too bad Dak is finished for the rest of this season. I would play Will Grier some if possible.
Would be an absolutely bat**** insane story! If we beat Giants and get to 5-7, I could see us getting a bit of momentum after two straight wins and beating Bengals too and get to 6-7.

Do you agree or disagree that 8-7 is plausible based on the opponents though?
Not plausible. Not impossible of course. But this 2024 Cowboys team is not very good. Just because they’ve shown a pulse and beat an opponent who has clearly overachieved is not enough to convince me of anything more than the NFL is unpredictable.

Put it another way, could the giants win Thursday with Joey DeVito at QB? Sure they can. If we are being honest and not wearing fan glasses this Cowboys team is still not very good.

The NFC is too strong. so I don't think a 7 loss team is going to get in from the NFC this season. And the Cowboys may win one or two more games. But don't see them pulling off the win streak needed to even have a hope of getting in. Which would require some other NFC teams having to collapse in December.

I guess anything is possible, but highly unlikely. Besides with all the injuries and all the dysfunction would it be worth it?
