Not plausible. Not impossible of course. But this 2024 Cowboys team is not very good. Just because they’ve shown a pulse and beat an opponent who has clearly overachieved is not enough to convince me of anything more than the NFL is unpredictable.

Put it another way, could the giants win Thursday with Joey DeVito at QB? Sure they can. If we are being honest and not wearing fan glasses this Cowboys team is still not very good.

It’s going to be very interesting to say the least! This team has life and a win over Giants to improve to 5-7 would make things even more interesting. We’ll see!

In the next four games, we are facing the 2-9 Giants, the 4-7 Bengals, the 3-8 Panthers and the 5-6 Buccaneers. None of these teams are unbeatable and crazier things have happened.

Win those four games and we can talk playoffs. Imagine that?

I never knock any Cowboys fan’s joy after a win. My feeling remains that this is not a very good team who would benefit greatly by a better draft position than the small benefit of a late season win that in the end doesn’t make us better in the long run.

But that‘s just my opinion.

It’s possible. We have the Giants. Washington could be in the middle of a collapse and we have them again. Carolina is beatable and Philly could be resting starters when we play them in week 17. Even the Bengals and Tampa have had their issues. That high draft pick may not end up so high after all.
