Assuming we have a mid first round pick, say Pick 14-18, I say Jerry picks him if he is still on the board. Dak does better with a good running attack and Dak is going to be the starter.

PS. That assumes Jeantry doesn't get injured during his remaining games and tests well at the combine.

Jeanty will go top 10. He is a better prospect than Robinson was and its a weaker draft than 2023

Yeah and there's a big spotlight shining on Dallas for the rest of the league. You want Jeanty you have to get up ahead of the Cowboys.

Hopefully not. Let someone else make the mistake.

What I don’t understand is people acting like Jeanty is having some unprecedented season we’ve never seen before. Rashaad Penny did the same thing in the same conference not that long ago.

Not to mention that Jeanty had 450 yards and 9 TD’s VS Georgia Southern and Utah St.

Don’t get me wrong, he’s a good prospect that should be the 1st RB taken, but top 10? No way, don’t see it.

Gibbs was picked in the first round by the Lions at pic number 12. Some folks still value running backs it seems.

Above said, when he was picked some folks went insane and went after the Lion's for picking him that high. He currently has over 1000 yards combined this year.

Think I would rather have the DT in the first (Nolan or Harmon) then take the RB in the 2nd (Hampton, Johnson or Judkins).

the lions have a stacked roster and had two first round picks. rb was a luxury they could afford and it was STILL a terrible usage of resources.

Imagine if the Lions drafted Devon Achane 72 picks later…

Obviously hindsight is always 20/20, but the point is there are always RB’s available.

Maybe they feel differently given their record since they selected him. He certainly has added something to their offense that they didn't have and that's crazy speed as well as being elusive.

feelings don't change facts. it was a poor use of resources even if it worked out. as mentioned right above, they could have had an even faster back in achane three rounds later. and i'd already said that they were in position to make a luxury pick.

Well, he recently admitted he thought the Cowboys were going to draft him.....

He won’t be there for Dallas to pick, thankfully. Dallas needs to fix the trenches first, especially the DLine and start with a DT. Grant should be the pick since Graham won’t be there either.

I don't think Jeanty goes top ten...teams picking in the top ten have bigger needs than RB and with the draft being so deep with talent at the position there is no need to over draft. The earliest he will go will be to Dallas (hopefully not). If we pass, then you have the Chargers (Dobbins FA) and the Vikings as teams that might have the need, of course depending on what they do in FA. Another team that could target him is Pittsburgh being that Harris will be a FA and I could see the Steelers letting him walk.

The thing I don't like with drafting Jeanty is that he's had a ton of carries in his college career. Zeke had a ton of carries in college, and we all know how fast the wheels feel off that cart. Does the team that drafts Jeanty think about load management in his first couple of years or run the tires off of him and let him walk after his rookie deal? Or will he pull a Zeke and cry and hold out for an extension before his rookie deal ends? We know Jerry is prone to getting his knees sore when it comes to being held hostage in contract talks.
